Blackhawk Park Campground, De Soto, WI

Blackhawk Park Campground in Crawford county is located 39 min south of La Crosse, WI with an elevation of 628 feet. There are a total of 79 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid April to the end of October. 76 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 30 and 104 feet. All sites are currently reservable. 73 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $18.00 to $40.00.

So glad we found out about Army corps of Engineers campgrounds. Very nice stop while on the road to out west! Clean and well taken care of! Cant beat the price either!!!

Wonderful campground!! Always tent/primitive sites available, affordable, amazing location with Mississippi River and backwater access as your backyard, rangers are very kind and know a lot about the local ecology and recreation... Can't recommend it enough!!

Still recovering from mosquito bites. Nice park but lower portion is wet and mosquito infested. Upper pat of park is nice but hard to get reservations.

Been camping there since I was a little boy and I'm 56 now. Always been nice and peaceful but in the last couple years it seems to be getting run down and the staff seem to be more scarce than before, don't get me wrong I still love it there just feels like it's not being as well taken care of and there's not as many campground activities being put on by the organization, like cookouts, fireworks, or things for kids as there once was

The park was nice. We made our reservations at the last minute for Memorial Day weekend and were glad to get a site. The sites were close together where our site was. It rained and the site was muddy. I would recommend the newer loop with the higher numbers because the sites are gravel and wouldnt be muddy if it rained.

I was very unhappy with all the LED lights around a couple of campers on the East side of the loop. One guy had several strands of purple lights on all night around the camper blazing in my bedroom window, couldnt sleep, had to put shades down and a/c on. Id have complained to the camp host but his site looked like a circus wagon all night. Four different colors of LED lights around the camper, screen tent and wood pile and a palm tree. I come to star gaze away from the city lights, very annoying.

Very nice campsites with water view. We watched a multitude of birds including herons and eagles during our two day stay. We caught and released three nice sized northern from the shore alongside our campsite. Camp attendant and hosts were friendly!

The eagles were amazing to see. The hosts were very friendly and the bathroom was very clean. The convenience store was a life saver to have. Excellent fish cleaning areas with water and electricity.

Nice campground. Sites are all pretty level. Water has a lot of iron in it so I would fill my tank before you arrive there if that is an issue with you. Shower house was clean.
