Super duper cozy and dense forest campsite. The sites are reasonably spaced out and all of them have their own little path to a larger path that follow the river. Linn County does a great job maintaining the site as well. Due to being such a dense forest it is very very wet and humid, so prepare to need a few towels to dry off your tent.

Great little campground. We loved the river running through, and the walking trail that goes around the campground. Nice big campsites, and private for a campground. The weekend we went it rained so it was very empty, and quiet.

Nice older campsites above Santiam River. Several good accessible swimming spots. Water pumps are older farmhouse style and pit (vault) toilets. Garbage and toilets cleaned daily. Due to proximity to Hwy 20 the road noise can be loud at night and early morningespecially when logging trucks roar by. Would stay again.

The campground was well maintained and had the cleanest vault toilet. However there was no potable water. Our email confirmation did not inform us to bring our own water. I found this lack of communication unprofessional and unsafe. We had to boil all if the drinking water at the campground.

Love camping at Forestry campgrounds. This one was new to us since we lost our regular on in the fires 2 years ago. Camp sites are small and will try to book a larger one next year. Road close but forgot about it with the birds singing. Wish there was easier access to the river. The younger ones made it down and raved about the beach. If you are into rock painting there are alot! Bring extra toilet paper, they don't supply every day. Will be back!!!!

Hard to believe how some people have NO respect for park facilities. Bathrooms were totally trashed. Kudos for park personnel for their daily cleanup.

FIREWOOD NOT SOLD HERE. USDA Website says it's sold here and it's definitely NOT. Bring your own or be prepared to purchase from neighbors surrounding the campsite. Great, quiet spot right off the river. Had it been sunny, we would have spent the entire weekend in the river. Clean, quiet campsite. There was a solicitor that came by my site, trying to sell me fire wood, when he could see that we already had 8 bundles. It was a very creepy interaction by myself, because as soon as my husband walked up from the bathroom, the man trying to sell the wood left. The park Ranger had a photo of him on her phone & knew exactly who it was when I asked about him. They are trying to catch him & stop him from approaching people, but without a host there all the time, it's hard to catch him while he's there. I'm glad they're aware, but single campers, especially women, be VERYaware.

This campground was incredible the trees were old large and beautiful, the river was a sight to see! I deck that’s built for fishing is also incredible for sitting and reading and the views are spectacular. It’s quiet, and secluded by the trees and I felt completely safe the whole time. An excellent Campground, I will be back that is a guarantee! What a treat!

Both the park ranger and the fire ranger were kind and courteous — a real pleasure! The campground was gorgeous and beautifully maintained. I came here as a small child, over 50 years ago. Thank you so much for keeping this place going.

We've been camping here for over 30 years. We love it. Biggest complaint is without a Camp Host it can get a little loud. Also, bring your own bathroom supplies since lately we've been doing a little cleaning and using our own T.P.

We love camping at Yukwah! The campgrounds are always clean and the hiking is excellent. And yes, you can hear the traffic from most campgrounds during the day, but it calms down at night.

Great campsites, awesome surrounding area to fish, swim, or relax by the water. The campground was kept super clean (including the restroom area which caught me by surprise). Amazing getaway place at a perfect price. Will be back!

Lovely little campground on a wonderful spot on the S. Santiam River. The campsites are perfect for 1-3 tents. There is a small area that is great for spending the day on the river swimming, floating, and jumping into a deep spot. I camped during Covid and had no problem with giving other campers their space. I only wish accessing the potable water was a little easier but the old-fashioned pumps were fun for the kids. The restroom was pretty funky, I'm not sure if there was a camp host attending to it.

Beautiful area, don't expect excellent cell service, some of us had good service while others had none. The sites were very clean and the surrounding are was very nice. The water from the pump was clean and refreshing. As with any vault restroom it obviously is not the cleanest throne but it was clean enough to use comfortably and the smell was not overwhelming, one of the cleanest iv'e seen.

Site 2. A back in spot if you have trailer. Good amount of space. Close to bathroom. Had a great time! Nice walking trail. Multiple spots to walk down to river. Couple rope swings. One morning we drove the short way up to house rock and walked the loop and up to the waterfall. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of some road noise. During the day it’s not noticeable but 4am log truck jake brakes, those are loud. But I’d still come back here. Nice to get away and unplug (no phone service.) Oh but do bring backup TP, the bathroom would get stocked but it ran out a couple times.

I have had the pleasure of camping at Yukwah for many years. Due to Covid-19 the campground was packed with people that thought that the entire park belonged to them. Screaming children, barking dogs, generators, noise after 10 pm curfew......I stayed an extra day hoping for a little peace but did not experience that

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
