This campground was very well kept, it was clean and easy to access. Having the lake so close was also a plus. The bathrooms were clean.

We love this campground, we go every year and have stayed at several sites. This year (Aug. 2024) was the best. The camp host this year was incredible. Once or twice a day he'd cruise by to see if everything was going well or if we needed anything. He was able to help us figure out where to get more propane. We Camp at different places a couple of times every year. This year at this campground the toilets were the cleanest I've ever seen, that's a nice perk! No bugs! They are obviously cleaned thoroughly and often. The lake was a blast, we paddled around the island and had a great time!

It was a gorgeous area, the camp ground was clean and beautiful, and most of all, the camp host was phenomenal. If the other great things about this camp ground weren't enough to get us to camp there again, the camp host put it over the top. He was friendly, helpful, and he even gave fun camping stickers to our kiddos!! We will be back :)

Host did not enforce quiet hours and fire ban. Neighbors celebrated whole night long. Campsite itself was very nice. Poor restrooms.

Very gracious and helpful camp hosts. The lake is beautiful and our campsite had a wonderful view.

Beautiful and great location.

Wonderful spot! Shaded, which helped with heat. Lakefront and easy access to water. Though, this opened up to having the public playing on the beach and in the water in front of the campsite, as well as trying to cut through your camp spot to get to the water. Close access to water spigot and toilet. A bit of a hike in, but doable. Overall, a beautiful spot and enjoyable. I would stay here again.

Everything was great and as described online. Had great cell service, bathrooms are kinda gross and lame but thats expected. The host, Tom, was exceptional! He was always so kind and helpful when he would stop by to check on us. Gave chocolate to kids and dog bones to the dogs!

Beautiful few days on the lake. Facilities are well cared for, quiet hours were quiet and the campsites are generous and afford privacy for those of us who really want to relax and recharge!

Nice, large campsite overlooking the lake. Only drawback - driveway a bit far from the campsite (table, fire ring). We were in a camper van, it still worked and we loved it!

Although we camped on weekdays, we were shocked to have the campground virtually to ourselves! Our campsite was a nice size and had great lake access. The camp host was very friendly and checked on us regularly since we were there alone. The restroom was convenient and clean.

This campground is great, the sites are spread out and the camp hosts are friendly.

I Loved this camp site! I was in spot 16 and it was perfect, great view of the lake with a walking path right to a little beach area I filled up my paddleboard at the car and walked it right down there it was perfect for launching off and just relaxing. It was kind of hilly we had 1 4 person tent and 1 2 person tent I think ant bigger it would be difficult for most camp sites we checked out when walking around. Even after checking out all the other spots I think 16 was the best. The camp host was super nice, checked on us every day and I spotted him cleaning bathrooms multiple times a day. Vault bathrooms are gross but this one was one of the best ones I've ever been in, TAKE A HEAD LAMP, no lights in the bathroom.

The camp host was the best part about this place! Definitely will be coming back.

The campground is good but they didn't enforce quiet hours. Obnoxious group next to us caused us to leave after one night. Unfortunately you're rolling the dice at this campground since you'll be on your own to enforce the rules if it comes to that. Unless you are an inconsiderate group who is trying to ruin the experience of everyone around you, then this is a good choice.

Nice campground, we stayed in site 12 which did have lake access nearby and a small stream running through, only a neighbor on one side and generally private site 13 next door has great water access but is very steep down to/from the car. Our site was also a bit steep in spots but manageable. Vault toilets were clean. The camp host was very friendly and helped us jump our car battery when it was dead at check out time. Did not have any firewood available for purchase, had to make a trip into town. Overall a pleasant & well maintained campground, can get a bit noisy on Friday/Saturday nights.

This location seemed to have enough party groups that it was loud far into the night. Too unruly for the camp hosts to control. Then boats were playing loud music as son as they could on the lake. Not a quiet camp experience.
@EricaM1032592 · Camped on Aug 8, 2023 at Campsite #22
Nice campground with plenty of space in campsite. Water access from campground was not easily accessible partially due to water levels.
@RobinB2917356 · Camped on Aug 4, 2023 at Campsite #22
We had 4 sites on the water. They were lovely and quiet but some were very sloped and difficult to find a flat spot for larger tents. Since we were a group we were able to make it work with doubling up on the flatter sites. Pit toilets were clean. The only bummer was the water access was too steep and rocky to launch our kayaks, SUPs etc. so we had to drive to a day use area. Not the end of the world just more work and something to be aware of. We really appreciated there was no road noise at night though compared to the Detroit Lake Park Campground we have stayed at in the past. So it's a trade off I guess!
@TeiaME52E51266 · Camped on Jul 29, 2023 at Campsite #28
We ended up not even staying here. The site was so crooked and on a cliff. It would be extremely scary with kids.

nice view but water access was not good. outhouse door lock didn't work.

Great location, perfect swimming spot and the camp managers were very kind. Planning our next trip already

We arrived on Sunday and there was trash bins full and the park host drove by what seemed like a million times and never said hi or checked in. Then the next day my kids soccer ball had rolled out of camp while we were down at the water. We got back and went and asked the camp host if someone had turned it in to lost and found and the camp host said I thru it in the trash. Mind you the soccer ball looked brand new and had our last name on it. What a bad experience. The camp ground was nice. But the hosts need better training and procedures for how much these sites cost I would expect a higher level of customer service.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
