Spanning 7,810 acres, this lush, rugged terrain is a haven for hiking and birdwatching, with trails that meander through its diverse landscapes teeming with wildlife. The park is home to a picturesque swimming pool, providing a refreshing oasis during the warmer months. Camping options abound, with both rustic campsites and cozy cabins available, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in nature's tranquility. Anglers will enjoy casting their lines in the well-stocked Panther Creek, teeming with trout and bass. Visitors can also explore the rich history of the area, connection to coal mining heritage, that adds an intriguing cultural dimension to the park experience.

Panther Campground is part of Panther State Forest in West Virginia (1 hr 46 min west of Bluefield, WV) with an elevation of 1,214 feet. There are a total of 6 campsites. The campground is open all year. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 40 and 70 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 12 months in advance. All sites have electric hookups. Prices start at $16.98 per night.
