Nice camp area. Clean restroom (not a bathhouse though). Good Orienteering courses and many nice hiking trails nearby.

We love this spot. Easy to get to. Well kept, but still a 'camping feel'. Great access to hikes and all kind of nature.

Everything was as advertised. Thanks.

The campsites at Turkey Run were nice and had plenty of room. The bathroom facilities should be updated and were lacking when the campsites are running at near full capacity. I would recommend this facility for cub scout/ by scout camps as well as any other large group camping.

easy to book; straightforward guidance

Overall we love this campsite. We use it frequently for our scout group and are very happy with it and the park in general. It rained like crazy on this trip and the site flooded a bit. Despite the rain and mud, the kids had a great time.

Sites are really with clean bathrooms. Only negative is the fire pit size. It is too small for a group site

PWFP is a Jewel. and a great place for group camping. Love the hikes and feeling of being way out in the woods, but being so close to northern VA.

Turkey Run Ridge is an excellent youth campsite. My Scout Troop like many in the Northern VA area love it, and we have camped there for years, but we are now really scaling back due to the extremely high prices. When I started going there we could rent a 25 person site for $40 per night and a 40 person site for $60. Drivers who stayed would also have to pay a $5 park entry fee. The rate is now $65 for the 25 person site and $80 for the 40 person sites. Gone also is the $5 entry fee per vehicle. Now you must pay $20 per vehicles for a seven day pass. (I am sure there are many who don't because they cut down on enforcement and only ask for proof if you are not parked in a legal spot.) As honest Scouts we pay the fee. So, for my Troop to camp there with 60 people for two nights and 8 vehicles it cost $450 ($65+$80 x 2 = $290 for the campsites and 8*$20=$160 for the vehicles). There are lots of cheaper, equally nice alternatives.

Always have enjoyed Prince william forest park. We had a camp out with some young men from church and they loved it. Quiet at night, and very clean.

My Scout unit always has a fun time at Turkey Run Ridge. It was great there was a bunch of firewood in the shed. Thanks for staying open!!

Outstanding site with nice trails. A great respite near Washington, DC. The Rangers were very professional, friendly, and helpful.

Great campsites, well groomed trails, and the waterfalls were fun to see.

I’ve camped at Turkey Run Ridge several times. Great trails are nearby, the Marine Corps Museum is a five minute drive from the park’s entrance, and the restrooms are clean and heated.

The Turkey Run Campground has undergone some renovations since we last camped there. it was good before and that much better since. really enjoyed the experience.

I didn’t get the chance to camp because the Boy Scouts organization rented out an entire area where I originally was suppose to camp at. Then, it took two months to receive a full refund.

wonderful location!
@JamesS374 · Camped on Jan 31, 2020 at Campsite #D
The campground was in great condition. Bathrooms were clean and maintainedcall weekend, cut fire wood was plentiful. Hiking in Saturday was fantastic, and we made it down to the pyrite mibe site.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
