Pleasant campground with a very helpful host the day we were there. My site didn't turn soggy despite some rain. Some sites are a bit far from bathhouses, and only the one in the middle "B" loop has showers.

This is a great park for hiking and bike riding. Camp sites have no hook-ups, are generally in pretty good shape and level. However if it has been wet some of the sites do pool water. What I like about Prince William is that it is open during the winter, One of the comfort stations is heated and has showers and the showers are very nice with clean tile floors and walls.

We stay have stayed at Oak Ridge A loop several times. The sites provide ample room for setting up, fire rings suitable to cook on, a picnic table and enough parking space for two vehicles. Loop A is the closest to the trailheads and very convenient for starting off a hike and with heated bathrooms, and even a shower in the one between the A and B loops, you can get refreshed after a long trail through the wood.Hammocks are welcome and most sites are able to accommodate the two hammock limit. Small diameter firewood can be hard to scrounge up, so either bring a saw for the bigger stuff around or buy some; we just stuck with charcoal this last trip.

An urban escape that is minutes from I-95 and the DC Metro Area. Get lost in nature with excellent forest hiking & biking trails.

I LOVED this campground so much. Clean and navigable campsites, sparkling clean bathrooms, as well as showers, and kind staff. The gentleman at the visitor center desk was very informed and straight to the point. The trails were clean and not busy. TONS of wildlife!!! Overall excellent campgrounds. Thank you to all the staff who work so hard to keep it nice!

The camp host was amazing. I had some horrible teen campers near me but she handled it. The sites are always clean. Just wish firewood was sold.

First time here, and loved it. Friendly campers and staff. Trails were so close to campground. Restrooms were clean. Very peaceful time.

The app was so difficult to use from the campground; it was crazy, I had to drive a few miles out to town to communicate on the app, I accidently paid for two different campsites, and not notified about my refund, I finally got it squared away when I drove about ten miles to Walmart to go online and reserve a campsite. Oh well technology might make your work easier, but camping is a lot more difficult. I can't recommend this campground to my friends, but if you like privacy and don't mind hassles like this? You decide.

The Oak Ridge Campground is an excellent location for cycling! After setting up my RV, I hop on my bike and do laps in the park. Each lap is about 9-miles with hills and light traffic, which makes it a great place to train. The camp host is very accommodating and customer-focused. I'm looking forward to my next visit!!!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
