Rudds Creek Campground in Mecklenburg county is located 1 hr 18 min north of Wake Forest, NC with an elevation of 325 feet. There are a total of 98 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of April to the end of October. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 92 feet. All sites are currently reservable. 73 sites have electric and water hookups. 1 site has electric hookups. Fees range from $24.00 to $68.00. We absolutely love Rudds Creek. The sites are large, private and level, with clean restrooms and friendly staff. It's a very quiet, friendly campground and we thoroughly look forward to our visits!!!!

Fantastic campground. Our site had lake access and made it easy to swim and use our kayak. The camp hosts were some of the friendliest and helpful that we have ever seen. Great stay all the way around!

We love staying at this park. That being said our last experience was not great. Our stay was from August 3-12. On the 7th I happen to check emails and there was a message we had to leave by Friday at 2pm. I called the gate to confirm but they did not give a reason but said we could move to another site. We left the next day and we were reimbursed for the remainder of our stay. We think it was wrong not to be told in person that we had to leave and why. If I had not happen to check emails it could have resulted in a bad situation.

I always enjoy staying at Rudds Creek campground. The sites are large and mostly shaded. Everyone is always so friendly and the bath houses and restrooms are always in good shape. It would be great to have a larger playground area for young kids

The bathrooms were dirty and all three toilets in the mens room were stopped up the entire time I was there. Showers were fair but really needed some deep cleaning and there was not a exhaust fan in there to help remove the heat. Also since there are inadequate facilities the sites should have sewer hook ups.

We love Rudds Creek campground. We usually go 3 to 4 times a year. This year in June we had numerous bug bites that we have never experienced before. I heard of people speaking about midges which are sort of like mosquitoes. The bites were horrible and painful. I wish the campground could spray for these bugs. Other than that the stay was pleasant as always.
