Rudds Creek Campground in Mecklenburg county is located 1 hr 18 min north of Wake Forest, NC with an elevation of 325 feet. There are a total of 98 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of April to the end of October. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 92 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 73 sites have electric and water hookups. 1 site has electric hookups. Fees range from $24.00 to $68.00. Some amenities include shower, sewer hookup, playground, boat ramp, swimming, restroom, trash dumpster, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, floating sports.

This was the first camping trip staying in a COE campground and I really have no bad comments. From check-in to check out the service was top notch. We are already planning our return .

Thoroughly enjoyed a weekend of camping at Rudds Creek with 10 other friends on 3 sites and we had a great time! Beautiful site on the Roanoke River/ Kerr Lake with a small playground/ beach area. You can kayak here, swim here, and do some fishing and each site has its own fire pit for cooking out just having a bonfire. We cooked steaks on the grille and they were DE-LIC-IOUS!! Highly recommend cooking steaks on your grill! For the most part we ate good, slept good, and just enjoying each other and the outdoors so go there and camp if you can!

If the sites were full hookup my rating would have been higher. However, we have a tote tank for a reason. We have been to a couple of other campgrounds operated by COE and found Rudds Creek to have provided our best experience so far.

We always enjoy our stay at Rudd Creek Campground. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It is so relaxing to stay here. Convenient location and only an 1-1/2 hour drive to home.

unique stay. We were not aware of the patrons that yearly attend this park and decorate for Halloween. fun stuff. also was surprised with number of acorns falling. Gate attendant, (Barbara), provided us with a lot of local info. hope to see her at North Bend this upcoming season (November-March)

Wonderful campground. I had a great view of the lake from my site, and enjoyed the sun setting every evening. Beautiful! Bathrooms clean, lots of sites to choose from. There is constant traffic noise from Hwy 58, but I found I adjusted to it after a day or two. The location can't be beat! Close to so many WMAs plus a state park.

This is a very nice campground. Pretty quite. Bath house was nice and clean. Only talked with the staff at check in and they were very nice. I would come back again

This is the fourth time we've stayed at Rudds Creek and it has always been a great experience. Sites are spacious, level and utilities work perfectly. Lake was high this trip and that made it even more beautiful as we sat out and enjoyed the views.

This site is not shaped to accommodate campers very well. The driveway and camping pad ae connected by a very narrow passage that makes it difficult to align the camper to be able to use the awning. Plus it makes it awkward to enter and exit the camper because of the timbers that border the site. The fire pit is in a very strange place well. When sitting at the ring, your view is of the campsite next door. It should be on the opposite corner where you would face the lake. A few small changes would make this a great site.

We absolutely love Rudds Creek. The sites are large, private and level, with clean restrooms and friendly staff. It's a very quiet, friendly campground and we thoroughly look forward to our visits!!!!

Fantastic campground. Our site had lake access and made it easy to swim and use our kayak. The camp hosts were some of the friendliest and helpful that we have ever seen. Great stay all the way around!

We love staying at this park. That being said our last experience was not great. Our stay was from August 3-12. On the 7th I happen to check emails and there was a message we had to leave by Friday at 2pm. I called the gate to confirm but they did not give a reason but said we could move to another site. We left the next day and we were reimbursed for the remainder of our stay. We think it was wrong not to be told in person that we had to leave and why. If I had not happen to check emails it could have resulted in a bad situation.
