The good: Beautiful area and love that there are trails right by camp. The site was clean and in good condition when we arrived. The shade structure is great and much needed as we experienced highs in the 90s during the last week of May. The Bad: When we arrived there were 5 vehicles parked in our camp spot, blocking one of our group families from setting up their camper there. We figured out later they were on the river and using our camp spot as boat ramp parking. To be fair the signs arent very good but they were literally parked right in front of the Campsite A sign. I wish there was better signage for parking rules as there is plenty of parking just up from the boat ramp towards the road but its like 40 feet further from the ramp so people seem to help themselves to the closest parking (campsite A). During our 3 day stay, numerous vehicles pulled in and parked in our spot including some foreign men who decided to skinny dip in the river only a few yards from our children. Lastly, $150 / night is really steep. BLM, please clearly mark as parking for campsite only, at least the front of the lot right next to the campsite.

The scenery, river, shade structure and plentiful tent space were all excellent. Due to high water we could launch our raft and float to Potash and we could jump off the rock at camp. Unfortunately both nights we had separate groups partying until morning. There was no camp host so no one was enforcing any rules.

Enjoyed our trip!

Now see why Site D was still available when I booked this trip as it is clearly the least loved at this campground...but it was still amazing. But if possible, I highly recommend the other three sites. Was jealous seeing the other campers with their chairs parked out on the river bank looking out over the mighty Colorado. D site neither has an open view of the river nor a pergola for shade...we didn't need the pergola as it was neither hot nor sunny during our stay, but could see it being useful when it is. Bathrooms were clean and in good shape. Amazing location on the river and hiking out to the arches across the street to watch the sunset.

Large area for tents. Large parking lot for trailers. Great shaded picnic area. Good times!

The site is very large, and we were a group of 12 staying over a Saturday night. There are plenty of tables and access to the river. Be wary of poachers trying to stay on a corner of your site!

The Gold Bar A site was an excellent location for our friends and family to experience Moab and the local state and nationals parks. Great location on the Colorado River. The vault toilets were clean and maintained regularly and there was plenty of space for 5 RVs and 4 tents. It is also a good distance from the next group space.
@Kimberley43812 · Camped on Apr 21, 2022 at Campsite #D
This campsite wasn't one of the better group ones in Moab. It's more like a parking lot with no shade and it smelled of urine. Location is nice, right on Potash Road and across from some great arch hikes. The other benefit it is was good for campers/trailers.

This campground is great for groups. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Site is fantastic for a big group. Good shade, tables, big fire pit, and lots of nice smooth ground for tents. 10/10 Other reviews noted that you end up with a lot of people either camping in the periphery, or blatantly right in your space. I didn’t think it would be that bad. It was far worse than I imagined. I’d say each night we had 10-15 cars, trucks, vans, trailers trolling through the parking. Half looked around and moved on. The other half rolled the lot and either decided it was fine for them to do whatever they wanted, or they would circle a few times shining headlights and idling a big diesel truck till they moved on. This happened at all hours of the night. During the day the camp ground is overflow for the local trail, so it was 100 cars deep with people in and around our camp the camping area. I with they would add some better signage to separate the parking from camping, or at least put up campground full signs when the place is full. All in all we did have a nice time. It was just frustrating to deal with hordes of people having paid 250/night.

We were in Group campsite C. We had a fairly large group but not one to fill the large space. The sign on the entry to the camp area clearly state Group sites and their is a board with the listing of who has it reserved and what dates. SEVERAL people would just show up a d start pitching tents on our reserved site. We became the campsite landlords so we didn’t have random people poaching in our reserved area. It became ALMOST funny... we were worried every time we all left for an activity that there would be more people set up on our site that were not part of our group. Very annoying!!!! So, be warned. The site location is absolutely beautiful and there is direct access to the river and small beach area. Perfect for kids which we had plenty of. The Corona and Bowtie arch trailhead is directly across the street. A pretty hike to see the arches and is well worth it.

Great campsite, shirt walking distance to river and Carona Arch. Our camping trip was nearly ruined because every other camper from the other 3 group sites would walk directly through our campsite to get to the river!? All day, all evening, through our tents, through our shade tents where we're eating diner, non stop flow of traffic, it was insane! We asked several people to please respect our camp site and use the obvious pathways around our site to the river but nope! Because of this I would never camp at this particular campsite again.

This was a fantastic group site, we loved the ginormous fire-pit, and double grill; bathrooms were clean and well stocked with toilet paper (even though people stopped off the road when traveling by to use them!). Location in relation to the Corona Arch trailhead and Jeep Arch road couldn't have been any better. We would absolutely book this site in the future!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
