Our group of 20 plus enjoyed the space and location of Group Site A. Being next to the river was peaceful and the site provided plenty of room for our group. We also appreciated the proximity to town and Arches National Park. Thank you.

Came down with 20 humans for a long weekend on the river, great place to camp. Parking is a little limited but enough room for our group and raft trailers (had to disconnect the trailers to park.

Stayed in Group Site A. There is not enough parking for 10 cars as the site is allowed, site B has an entire section, and then 1/4 of the side of site A parking.

We loved camping here and will definitely do it again! Super conveniently located to everything Moab has to offer. Yes, you’re close to the main road, but it’s pretty quiet at night. Being on the bike path was AWESOME! I’d recommend using your cars to block the driveway at night, as we had several cars pull in during the night and use our site (and woke up our tent camp campers…) errr… overall, great group site and highly recommend!

Great trip- beautiful site along the river in the canyon between Arches NP and Slickrock. Right on a bike path, although it took longer than we expected to ride to the Brand Trails (almost an hour).

Goose Island group sites are ample in size and convenient to town. I've stayed in these sites numerous times over the years. This year was different; there was no camp host to greet us or ask if we needed anything. Toilet paper in the restroom ran out on Sunday morning and wasn't replenished for the next 24 hours of our visit. Our biggest issue was this: Due to the proximity of the road and it being a "group site" parking lot, the first night 2 unrelated (to us or each other) vehicles came and parked in our site and slept in their car - they left first thing in the morning. The second day another car stayed in the lot a few hours as if it were a public parking lot. The final night another car parked in our spaces and slept in their car until the morning. When reserving these sites the parking space limitations are clear that we only have a certain amount of spaces to use. Additionally, many of our group sleep in our vans/rooftop tents. So the fact that we had 4 poachers over 3 nights was frustrating. Ideally the Service would post signs that state that "Group Sites are by Reservation Only" and perhaps even have traffic cones/a physical barrier to lay across the parking lot. Campers: at least bring your own "barrier tape" to block cars from entering and sleeping in your reserved area.

Love this group site! Three years in a row now. Location is best in Moab area.

Worked out OK for us after Green River crane trip. Was fairly noisy from fellow campers and drivers coming by.

See feedback above: We had an unfortunate stay here that we cut short by several days due to the terrible conditions. The campground is so close to the road that you can hear every car and truck (not completely unexpected due to the location but still not enjoyable), and the space for campers is just a gravel parking lot. It’s close enough to the toilets that you can smell them constantly. There were swarms of thousands of yellow jackets and wasps - we could not sit down to eat without being inundated, there are red ant hills everywhere, and there is no beach or river access, except for a few steep drop offs through the weeds. We have young kids and the combination of all of these factors made it incredibly too dangerous for us to stay here more than one night (even though we reserved it for four nights). Even though it’s close to the road, the group site is absolutely not worth the stay.

We stayed in a Group Site B. Campground garbage bins were overflowing, BBQ pit had not been cleaned of ash, and broken glass was found in the campsite. Lots and lots of ants. Adequate parking. Convenient due to proximity to Arches NP and town.

Our group's stay at the Goose Island group site was awesome! We loved the close proximity to town, the access to the river, the shelter over the picnic tables, and the large parking area. The camp site and bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The campground host was absolutely wonderful! He was attentive to keeping people out of our site who were trying to access the river and monitored for people trying to take our parking spots. The campground was quiet at night too. We would definitely stay here again. My only recommendation for future campers with dogs at this campground is, bring a rope to tie it in your site. The road near the campground is very busy during the day and we almost witnessed several dogs nearly get hit by cars.

Pros: The campground was beautiful and the site was gorgeous. The shade for the tables made it a wonderful area to hangout in. The campground host was amazing, checking in on us and super helpful. You are SO close to everything. I ran into Moab and got coffee for one morning. Arches is 10 min away. The river is just fantastic, we spent a great deal of time splashing there to cool off. Cons: Group Site A is tent ONLY, there is no signage or mention of this on the website which is frustrating. There is a lot of parking for multiple cars so you can make it work but it is not set up that way. And you will be right on the road so everyone driving through the campground will be right next to where you are sleeping. The other downside is the way the campsite is set up it isn't intuitively a campsite. Many people driving by assume (as would I based on how things look) that the site is a picnic area and walk through your campsite. The camp host spent a great deal of time nicely letting people know that they couldn't stay.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
