LOVE this group site. Reminder that you NEED TO BRING LOTS OF WATER! Also, no trash in the restrooms - talk to your youngsters about this!

Overall we were disappointed with these campsites.First, we had reserved a campsite well in advance, and when we got there there was another group staying there. I guess they had showed up day of and the machine at the front let them pay for a site, so they figured it was fair game. They need to make it more clear a site has been reserved. The bathrooms were also an issue. Not only could you smell them from the campsite (which was not close), but they were infested with bugs. Im not talking one or two there were flies everywhere. One of them even had a black widow in it. If youre looking for a large group site to lay your head before a day at arches, its probably fine. But dont be expecting much.

This site is amazing and we are so excited and grateful we were able to get it for our group for our weekend getaway on the river! It’s large enough to bring in trailers, RVs and there are tent spots backed up against a beautiful secluded canyon.

Clean, quiet, lots of room. Perfect for a combo of tents and RVs

Our stay at Big Bend campsite was super fun and easy. We stayed here on a university geology trip. Check in was smooth, the sites are easy to find, the bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

Great campsite near a perfect spot for swimming and paddling on the Colorado. Nice big fire pit, some cool tables and benches made of the local stone. Large pavilion with plenty of space for seating and cooking. Plenty of room for tents around the campsite. The bathrooms are close which can be good and bad….

This is the most incredible campsite! The setting alone makes it worth it, with high, red cliff walls encircling. It's stunning in the daytime and in the evening with the stars. I was in awe every time I looked around and considered ourselves very fortunate. Having the Colorado River accessible right there was really fun for our group. The pavilion is so nice and accommodated our large group. There was plenty of space for numerous tents. Plenty of parking too. A relatively short and convenient drive to Arches National Park or into Moab, and a gorgeous drive from the campsite to Fisher Towers as well. Just an incredible campsite!

Group Site C is a private and secluded site away from the other crowded campsites in Big Bend. It is a bit warmer than the other sites due to the lack of tree shading and proximity to the river. This site would receive 5 stars except for the frequent up canyon breeze can waft the odor from the vault toilet into the camp. The BLM thoughtfully placed the toilet a fair distance from the shade structure so the odors were not unbearable.

Excellent venue with a well maintained pit toilet, shad structure and a beautiful view. Removed from the fray of a busy Colorado River scene, but not too far away. Would give it a five if it was cooler weather! Thanks for providing a good camping experience. Right next to a Big Horn Sheep lambing area. Within view of the Colorado.

Good site, stone tables are great as well as shade from trees and large shelter. Area is crowded though and we had several groups try to poach our site. More signage is needed to help folks understand where they can and cannot camp.

The site is fine but there was a lot of wind and not just there, so bring tents that wont blow down. Clean toilet. Wish there were trees. Site will hold more than 7 vehicles. That should be changed. Also small tent trailer or e-pod.

Plenty of parking, site B has a large fire ring and good pavilion. Site C was a bit disappointing because the fire ring was poorly situated to sit around and the pavilion was just wooden beams which were not sealed and let rain through.

Beautiful spot for our family group celebration. Secluded from other campers, but so close to the river and surrounded by red rock!

AMAZING campsite. This large person campsite has all the amenities you could want for a large group. Plenty of space for parking and tents, a massive gazebo (although it’s not full coverage compared to sites A&B, rain and sun will go through), and a massive amount of space to explore. It acts as an amazing amphitheater to watch the stars and on a full moon you can even do some hiking near the rear end of the site. Fabulous!

The site was amazing. We maxed it out for a long weekend and had a great time. Will definitely be returning!

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
