We really enjoy camping at Poole Creek and kayaking on Lemolo Lake. It is one of our "go to" destinations. However, there are some recurring negative issues. Toilet facilities are not cleaned regularly. Toilet paper is stocked but there is little to no effort to sweep out or hose out the facilities. This situation is probably due to the absence of a Camp Host during our visit. Some of the toilets have broken locks which prevents them from being secured during use.

stayed in site number 6; had a great view of the lake. campground was quiet and easy to navigate.had to evac early due to wildfires.would recommend bringing your own porta-potty. My cat's litter box smelled better than the vault toilets

Due to nearby fire we decided to leave immediately after our arrival. There was no camp host to communicate with.

The spot was perfect for a funeral reunion. When we got there, the vaulted toilet had not been maintained and had feces on the walls on floor. We had to clean it up to make it sanitary for the young children that were going to be there other than that its a great spot, and a good size for multiple people

Incredible spot right on the water. Beautiful views and large campsites that could accommodate a decent sized group, camping with tents and a bunch of hammocks. Some tree coverage, but mostly exposed to the sun. Most people on the waterfront campsites had full trailers and plenty of space to pull an RV or trailer in.

Beautiful campground next to an equally beautiful lake. But late August and there is a campfire ban in effect. I get that. But we are in a campground with fire rings at each campsite. And it pretty green. Not dry at all. Not being able to have a campfire kinda takes the fun out of camping. And the fishing in the lake was non existent. So honestly we did not enjoy or tie camping at Poole Creek.

Lot 18 is by far the worst campsite at Pool Creek. It's right in the middle of a busy intersection where cars and boats pass by constantly. This lot is more for a family with kids who need easy access to the bathroom, water and trash. Love Poole creek just not lot 18.

The lake here is nice, but the campground could be better. The outhouses are disgusting and should be cleaned more. There are no lights anywhere along the roads. Road is not well marked in terms of which direction to go. Most the trees have been partially burned in a fire so they look very scraggly. Campsites are ok if you can get one near the lake. I wouldnt camp here again given the other choices in the area/state.

I have been coming to this campground since the mid 80's, although it has been since 05 since the last time. I have always loved camping here, and my most recent experience was pretty good, but it wasn't perfect. First off the mosquitos were terrible. They were always a nuisance, but they are downright vicious this year. That's not the fault of the campground, but just a warning to come prepared. The biggest issue was the fact that toilets were filthy and the one closest to our campground ran out of TP in both the men's and women's toilets, and the other ones were extremely low. Luckily I had my trailer, but I feel bad for anyone wanting to tent camp thinking there will be stocked facilities to use.

Vault toilets had no toilet paper the whole stay. Reservoir had a beautiful view, but yellow algae was present at the time of my stay. Sites were not very level.

The mosquitoes were horrible. The water was perfect. The camp host could use some improvement. Here are a few things I noticed that were unacceptable behavior on her part. 1. Allowing a small child to stand on the floor board of the golf cart while traveling throughout the campground while the host and another woman sat on the seat of the cart. 2. The host collected any unused firewood from each campsite when the guests departed from their scheduled stay. This firewood was then taken to the host site and added to her personal firewood collection. 3. She locked the gate to the group site when vacant. Then she would unlock the gate and collect the large amount of firewood that was stacked there and move it to her host site. 4. She seems to enforce the “dog on leash at all times” rule only when dogs were in view of her host site. The entire beach area was full of unleashed dogs and she only noticed a couple of dogs swimming in view of her camp site. She came to those campers and started screaming at them to keep their dogs on a leash yet 50 yards away were 6 dogs running free with nothing said to the owners

We come up every year to the group campground and it has always been taken care of. This time, no one bothered to clean the bath room, and we ran out of toilet paper. We had to go get some from the camp host. Never before has this happened. By the time we left he bathroom was smelling very bad.

Great location, wonderful access to the water and the site I was in was well-shaded and spacious. The only downside, through no fault of the campground itself, was the abundance of mosquitos. Other than that, it was a very pleasant, fun experience and will definitely go back!

Great campground. Hate the reservation system.

Aweful camping experience!! We left 4 days early. Submitted refund request twice, no response. Toilets were FULL, trash cans were FULL, there were dirty underwear at our site when we arrived, people screaming across the campground all hours of the night. Camp host didn't care about anything. Just wild lol. Certainly not a campground for a family camping trip.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
