I don't usually leave reviews but I would have liked knowing some pros and cons of this campground. 3 out of 5 stars is me being generous. Lets get to the Pros and Cons.Pros: It is a pretty area and we had a good amount of shade, the tent camping spots are big and can fit big tents, There are 2 vault toilets and were very clean. There were 3 long picnic tables and a nice firepit. I don't know if these are Pro or Con but depending on your wireless provider sometimes you could get service and the tent sites are not close together.Cons: The road up has a lot of switch backs and once you get on the dirt road it is a rough ride with huge potholes. We were in a truck with good clearance and were worried about our family members driving sedans, they made it up but it was very difficult. We won't visit this campground again because of the drive alone. Once you get to the campground it is very confusing on how to find the campsites. At one point we reached a 3 way fork in the road with no signs saying where to go so we had to wander around until we found our campsite. I said the camping/tent spots were not close to each other. It had what seemed like 3 tent spots and 2 of them could fit 2 tents if needed so if you had more than 3 tents you would feel on top of one another. if you like playing cornhole, bocce ball, croquet etc. there isn't a good place to do that. Lastly I understand that you are in the wilderness and there is nothing you can do about wildlife or insects but there were tons of aggressive biting flies and we saw a lot of deer. The deer wandered at night right next to the tents which freaks out most anyone at night and we were putting make shift shields over our heads to try and keep the flies out of our faces.Overview- The area is pretty but the cons were enough that we won't return to this campground in the future.

Where to start. We reserved a spot meant for 90 people, Max 10 cars. We arrive, barely fit 6 cars, the rest had to go park on hi brush. When setting up tent, there was no space. There was an open area for tents approximately 100 feet from fire pit and lunch tables. And even that area was cover by high brush. By God miracle one of my guy had the equipment to make room for each of our tents. Warning for others beyond camping site, expect 5.3 miles of dirt road.

The camp site was great. We stayed for 3 days and loved the trails and hikes. If it wasn't for the road leading in/out, this would be a perfect spot to go back to again and again.

The site itself is beautiful, and I'd go back tomorrow if it wasn't for the location. Getting there is a complete nightmare. DO NOT travel to this location with a trailer of any kind. Both of the trailers traveling with us had pieces falling off, were bent, etc.. It is only 5 miles on the dirt road, but it really should be open to razors or ATVs. We went less than 5 miles and hour in some parts and it took over an hour to go 5 miles. Once you are up there, you are up there for the duration! The other major problem is that there is very little signage in the campground. You basically just have to drive around until you find what you are looking for, and there are no numbers- just site names. Could be a really wonderful place to camp if they would fix the roads and put up some signs, or a key to the campground at the front.

The scenery is beautiful and there’s plenty of shade but the tables and benches were peeling so badly we had to scrape them with a putty knife and cover them with tablecloths to avoid splinters. The tent sites all slanted and we’re pretty rocky so we were sliding downhill in our sleeping bags and pretty uncomfortable at night. A little TLC would go a long way at improving the campground.

The drive up the canyon was a bit rough, especially while pulling a trailer. The road was paved until about half way up and then it went to a narrow dirt road. The group site was nice when we reached our destination. It had a nice area to gather with tables and a fire pit.

The campground is really nice. Lots of hiking in the area. The road is pretty rough once it turns dirt, high clearance recommended.

I really enjoyed this spot, it was very beautiful and the camp ground was great. The road up there is pretty rough but it's not bad if you go slow. Our singles ward went up there for a campout, it rained the whole time we were there, but it was still very fun. I would happily go again. It's not far from Provo but feels really remote when you're up there.

It was a little dusty getting in and out, but that is to be expected. Great campsite, very quiet.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
