Very rocky bumpy dirt road to campsite, and it's a long one, but once we got there we had an enjoyable time. Campsite 4 is by the vault toilet and had a large space around the fire pit for gathering.

Nice campground, lots of shade, and we love the nearby stream, but there is no campground host, and no cell signal. This means that if you have a bunch of people drinking and being really loud and vulgar in the campground next to you, there's nobody to take care of it but yourself (happened to us one year). There are lots of rattlesnakes in the area, and the road in is in poor shape.

Restroom was down to its last third roll of bathroom tissue before the restroom was serviced.

We loved campsites 3&4. So many trees! Set up a few hammocks. The picnic tables were in the shade the entire day. Bathrooms are clean!

This campground made me fall in love with camping again! It's right against a little stream, the sites are shaded by trees, it's just beautiful and peaceful. I loved site 6, which is at the end of a loop and more private than some of the other options. I will definitely plan on returning! Other reviews said the toilets didn't have paper, but I didn't have that problem. There's also another one just down the road (walking distance) at a trailhead if you really do have that issue. I also was able to gather a lot of local wood to supplement what I brought to burn.

The campsite was incredibly beautiful, however this is the second time we have stayed here (last year and this year) and both times there were VERY loud people camping next to us each night. We had booked this site for two nights for this year, but we couldn't make it to the second night because we weren't able to get any sleep. As soon as we finally did fall asleep, the loud motorcycles started flying up and down the road. Next time, we will have to find a campsite that is farther away from other sites. I am so disappointed because of it wasn't for disrespectful people, this would be absolutes my favorite spot to camp.

I was a little confused by the directions and got lost… I didn’t realize we had to go farther than the ranger station to find the campgrounds, but once we did, we really enjoyed the campsite. Such a beautiful campsite with lots of shade. Docked a star because the bikers were really loud (both bikes and bikers) for several hours of the night. Also was unfortunate that we didn’t buy wood, as a lot of the wood onsite was damp enough that it wouldn’t burn well. Overall, have to say it was a good stay because I would return again, but really wish people were a bit more respectful of the noise they make after dark.

We loved this campsite and will definitely be back. It's super shaded which was nice even when we had a bit of drizzle at one point. The trailhead is super close and was nice to be able to hike to water, especially for the dogs. Highly recommend!

The campground itself is awesome! It's being completely surrounded by jerks in the free sites, that bring their bikes and are riding until 3 in the morning, as loud as they can.

We loved this campground! The shade was amazing and there were so many great spots for hammocks. Walking around looking at the sites, we did not see any that we would not have liked to stay in. The vault toilet was very clean and for a vault toilet, smelled great! There is not any running water so make sure you bring plenty with you!

Lovely canyon but the bathroom/outhouse here was probably the worst I've ever seen. Ot was absolutely disgusting and out of toilet paper when we got there. The campground was full and my family stayed 4 nights. Not once did the camp host come by at all to check on things much less clean and restock the tp. Won't camp here again.

The campground is pretty. Sites 2,3, and 4 all have good tent sites. Site 5 only has one tent site, which sits in very close proximity to site 6. Unfortunately, other campers ruined our stay. We spent the first hour cleaning up our site of garbage and broken bottles. A large group of people rented site 6. They had approximately 30 people, 5 unleashed big dogs, and children running amok. The dogs kept running through other campsites and being a general nuisance. At 11pm, I told their children to leave the road and go back to their parents. At 530am, one dog started howling and they let it howl for 30 minutes. I went to walk my small, leashed dogs and was attacked by two of their large unleashed dogs. They watched it happen and didn’t even bother to come help or apologize (no surprise). If you can’t be respectful of others and clean up after yourself, stay home. This behavior is what’s ruining our world… total disregard for others and no respect for nature. Grrrrr. The camp host came by in the morning. The dogs were quickly leashed. She was friendly and did a great sweep of the campground, replenished the TP, and even took our garbage.

This is a fun little campground and we had a great time using #3 and #4. It is very shady and great when it’s hot out. It would be nice if pictures were posted that show what each site looks like since all we saw was a grassy looking field. This must have applied to the group site as our area did not have any grass. It was a bit muddy due to recent rain. The giant bolder and crude amphitheater in #3 made for fun entertainment for the kids as did the nearby creek which also was very shady and has a nice beach area just to the right of the entrance. Outhouse - #3 was right across from the outhouse and we were pleasantly surprised that we could seldom smell it. This was likely helped by the shady area. The service schedule seemed erratic however and was only checked once every few days. With a large group using the group site over the weekend, the toilet paper was gone by the second day so it’s a good thing we brought our own. Nearby activities: Richard’s Hollow trailhead was a short 50 feet from camp which offered fun activities for kids along the way like the stone throne about a mile in, beautiful wildflowers, a teepee and a bit further on and past the switchbacks a beautiful waterfall. The first part of the hike was hotter and more open but offered beautiful vistas of left hand fork canyon. We hiked and did have several dirt bikes passing our way. There are also some great climbing walls in the canyon.

Friendship campground was chosen to allow our group to gather for two day and two night in a mostly private setting of this out-of-the-way campground. We reserved the group area where the tables and fire pits were usable but not in the best of condition. The rest room was clean and usable but with a large group where everyone needed the restroom at the end of the day, one room was not enough to help everyone that needed it at once. Seperate Women/Men booths would have been very useful. We did enjoy the private setting for our extended family gathering. The lack of running water was disappointing which we knew about before hand so more effort to plan for water supplies was given than we found to be needed,

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
