We love camping at Mirror Lake! The only reason I took off a star is because, after all these years, its time for a road grader to spend a little time going over the roads in the campground. This is not a place Id be wanting to drive a long, luxury RV. The scenery is beautiful, the daytime temps are mild and its chilly at night-great for a campfire. Floating out on the 10,000-foot elevation lake is a slice of heaven. And, if you fish, the Fish and Game dumped 1,000 good-sized trout into Mirror Lake while we were there.

This is my favorite camping spot in the High Uintas. The best time of year to go is right after school starts (from mid-August onwards), when there are noticeably fewer crowds, fewer bugs, and the weather starts cooling off at night.

Mirror Lake is one of my favorite campsites. I highly recommend it. Great place to go to fish and relax. Hope I can get one more trip in before winter.

Both dirt and paved roads in campsite and surrounding area are in horrible condition. Several deep pot holes that will swallow your truck or trailer tires. Wish they were fixed and maintained. Could not get into our reserved campsite due to trees and boulders being in the way.

Stayed in B42 with a 25ft trailer. Site was smaller that expected. Good view of lake. Hard to back in and steep drop off stepping out of camper door. Roads in campground were full very large pot holes. I would not recommend large rigs.

Campsite is close to the lake which was great. Its also close to the restroom. The restroom did not smell pleasant, which is normal with camping. But with how close the restroom was, you could smell it at the campground. Which was nasty!

Wonderful location to go when the Vally is too hot. Wonderful campground hosts. Pleased to see the pot holes are being filled with gravel, but wonder why with the revenue being made the service doesn't asphalt the roads!

Campground site (11) accommodated our 33 5th wheel well. Nice to have our own bathrooms as the pit toilets are primitive. Campground is located in such a beautiful place. Absolutely loved taking walks and hikes right from camp.

Too many campers arriving after midnight and disturbing the rest of the campers, Also too many dogs barking and their owners ignoring them. The camp host was great and helped me jump start my truck which had a dead battery.

Campsite was clean, hosts were nice, and everyone was friendly! We had a great time. No bugs. Lots of wildlife!

Nice campground! Good dedicated spot for a tent!

Its a great camping spot! You can see the mountains in between the pines. If youre lucky you will catch an amazing moon rise from the fireplace in the night. Its close to the restrooms and located in front of a faucet. Highly recommended.

Campsite 16 was close to the lake, you could see it from the fire pit. It had a large, flat area for a tent and plenty of trees for shade. The downside was its directly next to the campground host site. This campground host required people to check in at their site rather than the host circulating through the campground so it meant we had lots of traffic of people checking in. I do not recommend staying at campsite 16 because of this proximity and poor campground host experience overall.

The spot we reserved was supposed to be for 30 trailers. Ours is just over 24 and barely fit with no room for our truck. We talked to the camp host and they found another site that was plenty big! They were amazing!!
@MikeO1833829 · Camped on Jul 14, 2024 at Campsite #16
It was the most horrible experience we have had in years. The bathrooms were absolutely filthy with feces on the floor as well as toilet paper all over the floor. There was also urine all over the floor and there were puddles of feces all over the floor. It got to be where I could not use the bathrooms anymore, and both mens restaurants were that way around our camp and the hosts were not keeping the bathrooms clean at all. They had an automotive style air freshener hanging out by the door and that was it. It was the most disgusting horrifying experience that Ive ever add using a restroom any type of a park.

The campsite is big enough, but they have cut down trees around the site that used to give shade. It is hot and open. There is no control up here. People cutting logs for fire, rude loud mouth arrogant people that bring their Fido's, with their wonderful kids. They cut through your campsite like they have a right, which I told several groups to walk around as this is my campsite. Most people understand the rules at a campsite, but some are just arrogant and don't care. The campsites are on top of each other to maximize the rentals. They at least filled the pot holes. The bathrooms were pretty disgusting to say the least. They are old and very well used. The doors are about ready to fall off. Limited water usage available. The USFS gives nothing but excuses as they make a lot of revenue from these places, but are mismanaged by the people in charge. Very popular place, but no thanks we will not be back.

Campsite was great and easy to pull through. The site backs up to a bunch of trees and felt very private. Pit toilets were horrendous and a little dirty/trashy and horrible smell, otherwise campground was in great condition. Mosquitos were also atrocious so definitely bring bug spray

The view, the wildlife, the lake were great! The weather was amazing! The fishing was great! The bathrooms were closed!!! That was a big shock! We've been coming up for 7 years and this is the first time they were closed, as they had not been pumped from last year yet. That was really frustrating. The water was turned on 2 days before we left to come back home. We have experienced that before, being so early in the camping season, so we had brought plenty of water with us. The firepits hadn't been emptied either. It was just a little bit frustrating this year as it's always been one of our favorite campgrounds to go to.

2 of the 3 restrooms are broken down. Thats unacceptable when paying these kinds of fees for a campground. Needs to be fixed ASAP!
@ClayS974041527 · Camped on Jul 7, 2024 at Campsite #50
EVERY visitor needs to keep campground/restrooms beautiful and clean. This year, people left mess/trash in public restrooms and sites as I have not seen in previous years. IT'S UP TO EACH OF US TO CLEAN UP OUR OWN CRAP! Even the TP that you leave on the floor of a Public Restroom is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to clean up! Teach your kids and friends to clean up after themselves! Protect the animals/environment and keep these beautiful places pristine!

We had a nice, peaceful get away at Mirror Lake. I took off a star because of the roads at Mirror Lake; the roads had a lot of pot holes.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
