The campground was clean and all facilities worked as they should. Eric is a SUPREMELY helpful Park Host and genuinely nice guy. Keep him around!

Enjoyable park

Beautiful park also very quiet and clean. Our spot was right by the water and was a great place to watch sunrise and sunset. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars was the shape the site pad was in. VERY rough and not level at all. If you have a bigger rig, you might reconsider spot 32.

Mill Creek has always been one of the nicest parks on Lake Sam Rayburn. Especially if you have kids. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a spot to trailer camp or tent camp.

Nice park and camp host Eric is the best.

I know due to high water but limbs, pallets everywhere. Dogs allowed on beach area and were running loose. Bathrooms were horrible. Dirty, lids were in the floor, no locks, most had no paper. Will not be going back to Mill Creek unless cleaned up and maintained

Really nice park, great for kayaking! BUT the restrooms are very dirty, and the one closest to our campsite was in poor condition with stall doors that won't close or latch & lights in the shower area not working.

I have stayed at Mill Creek park several times, & I cant recall ever having an unmemorable experience. The park is always manicured, restrooms clean & always have TP, boat ramps are easy to access, electric & water always works, & the camp hosts are very friendly, & they seem to genuinely care. The park seems to be pretty quiet, & Definately a family friendly enviroment. I bring my kids & grandkids, & they love camping there! Many of the sites I pick have really good access to the lake, with a great place to park my boat at my site. I give this park two thumbs up! Definitely going to return several times a year.

Busy camp area but quiet at night. Beautiful lake views drove to Lufkin to get famous burger at Rays drive in. Rays special just like 10 years ago. Worth the hour drive

Stayed durning major tournament on Sam Rayburn. Campgrounds very nice and the attendants were on top off things. I regret not informing them I thought they were doing a great job managing Mill Creek. Place was packed and all things ran smoothly

Wonderful place to stay, with beautiful views right next to the lake. Lake access via boat ramp on site. If it wasn't 1000 miles from me I would visit often.

One overnight stay on a Saturday. Full as expected. This CG is in need of repairs. Our site's asphalt was terrible, deep crevice that made difficult to move a transportation wheelchair (unexpected surgery on a foot, wanted to get to TX for the Eclipse). The Gate attendants where a bit on the sour side. Rules where not followed nor enforced (cars, trucks, boats parked anywhere there was space) For overnight will return, not to spend a few days until it's worked on.AT&T Signal low, 1-2 bars.

We held a gathering of campers at this campground. The bathrooms were the worse I've ever experienced. I had to leave and find a clean shower somewhere else. The bathrooms are absolutely filthy and we will never be back. Beautiful campgrounds. Very very bad bathrooms.
@JeanB4A54DE5F3 · Camped on Apr 4, 2024 at Campsite #59
Beautiful campground. Spacious sites with mature pines. The restroom near site 59 was the worst I've ever seen. Raw sewage was backing up from under the men's toilet. Bathrooms were not cleaned between Thursday and Sunday morning. When I questioned the camp host, she said restroom cleaning was contracted out. I guess they had the weekend off. I had to request toilet paper. Please, please, please hire someone to take care of the restrooms. Obviously, the camp hosts don't check on them.

We really like it down there
@MarkL5886645 · Camped on Apr 4, 2024 at Campsite #75
The bath rooms were the worst ones we as a group have ever seen, hell old is ok but Nasty is not acceptable, that seemed to be the topic of conversation between our group for the weekend. The sweet gum balls made for a trip hazard and by the time our visit was over we were exhausted from the all to frequent slip and fall from the abundant sweet gum balls. I can say the views are nice but it is hard to be happy with the nasty bath rooms and the sweet gum ball trip hazard.

The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. They were filled with dead bugs, overflowing toilets, mud, and sand. There was no soap with the sinks. One bathroom didn't even have a working sink. While the park is beautiful, I would never stay here again.
@JoeD3475736 · Camped on Mar 28, 2024 at Campsite #68
After some 30 years using this park I finally have to say Im disappointed. The bathrooms were not maintained enough during the holiday weekend. Toilet paper was the only evidence that someone came to the restrooms daily, the floors were a mess all weekend. Before Covid, you could set your clock by the bathrooms being cleaned daily and you knew that were sanitized and safe to use. Not sure when it changed but after Covid 19 hit, this camp ground has slacked up in the cleaning of the restrooms and lawn care of camp sites. Leaves were thick and have not been removed from winter. I had to sweep them away from the fire pit just to make it safer. Never been like this before. The park host/attendance before Covid 19 used to be friendly and welcoming. Now youre rarely see them except once a day riding through on a around checkout time. The other issue is the apparent change in the unlimited vehicles and tents per site. My view of the lake was blocked by 3 large tents and 1 travel trailer with 8 vehicle and 2 boats that came and went all weekend. Ill be read next time I make reservations so this doesnt happen again, if I return to any Camp grounds operated by this arrangement. Do not let my opinion keep you from going, Ive had a great time with my friends and family at this campground hopefully it will be better next time for all.

This was our 1st time staying here and we loved it except for the bathrooms. They were disgusting and we saw a truck stop on our 3rd day to sweep the stuff off the floors but then the person just stood at their truck. Considering we tent camp and our only option was to use their restrooms, I'm not sure if we would come back for a 2nd stay.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
