We love this place and come back every year for our family reunion. We stay for at least a week. We prefer this lake over any in Texas. Only draw back is when it floods and the ramps have to close or worse. We keep an eye on it all spring and look forward to vacationing here every summer.

Campground was clean, the staff was very friendly, I love the lake views from our site. We will visit again to try the screen shelters.

The location is beautiful. We had a tent site with plenty of room between sites. However, the restroom was disgusting. There was no door on the womens restroom. More bugs everywhere than Ive ever seen before. Bugs were both dead and alive. The sink did not function. I washed my hands in the shower. Not sure if the shower water gets hot, but I wouldnt take a shower with all the bugs anyway. It is really unfortunate that the restrooms arent maintained because otherwise I would highly recommend a stay there. We left after 1 night.

Great space for tent camping but the bathrooms were filled with bugs, very soiled and no doors on the bathrooms/showers. other than that it was a fantastic experience.

It was unbearably hot after 11am. After dark any light source drew in millions of knats. The screen shelters were infested with fire ants. Showers are always broken.

Enjoyed our stay in the park. Lake activities were great.

Very nice park. Many shaded sites. Plenty of roads for bike riding. However, the restroom facilities are not attractive. They seem to be cleaned and stocked daily but, too many bugs, spider webs, spiders, etc.both inside and out. Makes it very uncomfortable. The shower curtain is missing on one shower and has been since the previous visit one month earlier. This was my second visit in a 1.5 month period. Nothing improves. Cooperas park is much better maintained.

Love the park! Just about ever spot is on the water or you can see the water. Park is kept up very well. The people working in office is very nice and very helpful with anything you need. Bathrooms are nice and clean. This is one of my top parks now! Will keep coming back!

Place was okay! Friendly staff. Not the prettiest lake/park in Central Texas by far though. Kinda half mowed. Tons of fire ants everywhere so bring spray and keep spills to a minimum. No park for the kids but there is a day use area and field for walking. Tons of debris in the lake making fishing hard, but honestly that’s not far from par in central Texas right now. Water is low everywhere.

It’s a beautiful clean park. The swimming area was just for wading and such. It smells really good in the evening and afternoon. I loved the guards they were funny. Lots of boating fishing and jet skiing

Number 65 is a good spot to camp with a few exceptions. 1. STICKERS & COCKLEBURS, They are everywhere and get tracked into the trailer. Heaven forbid you have rugs in your trailer not to mention dogs with long hair. 2. To get to the water, you have to go through tall weeds about 10 ft from the water's edge. 3. It does have a great tree close to the picnic table which is great to sit under to get away from the summer heat.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
