Park was quiet and fairly clean. The water level of the lake was disappointing but serviceable. Glad to see all the grass cut. Will go again.

Traveling in motor home, stayed one night. Quite and clean area. Had a lake side site with water and 50 amp electric service. Paved roads with gravel site.Beautiful view of the lake. Would stay here again.

Arrived without reservations (but knew there were available sites. Lady and ranger at the gate told us to go pick one out, pay on line and COME BACK to get a tag to hang on the vehicle. Campsites are about a mile from the gate. Couldnt they have just given us a tag? They had it ready so they knew what site we chose. Bathrooms need updating and cleaning. Absolutely no trash cans in the campground. Have to hike about 1/2 mile to the dumpster. On a positive note, the sites were nice and very level with a great view of the lake. We camped in April in a B Van.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. And weve been full timers for 23 years. Its a stunningly beautiful Army Corps of Engineers campground on Wright-Patman Lake in Texas. The RV sites have water and electric, mostly 30 amp, but some 50 amp, too. You need to make reservations which can be done on the easy-to-use Recreation.gov website. Believe me, if I can do it, its easy to use.Theres a gatehouse where you check in with always-friendly staff. Then you find your campsite. It will be in a forest with the near-by lake. You will have plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors. You will awake to birds sone. The lake is huge! Take a trip to the project site to see some exhibits about the lake, the area, and the first people to make the area home, the Caddo Indians.There are some nice trails if youre not interested in boating, fishing, or swimming. The lawns looks like theyve been manicured. Everything is well maintained and just lovely. Do yourself a favor and book some days at this affordable campground. Its good for your mental and physical health.

The restrooms are very dated and in rough shape. No soap either so if youre using the toilet remember to take your own.

Nice campground, could use some updates but overall, it was clean, and the staff was very friendly.

The gatekeepers are absolutely wonderful. The park was very clean and very well kept and if it was available, I would count there you around.

Good place to be if you want to be centrally located for hiking between Atlanta State Park, Atlanta Biking trails and Bringle Lake Wilderness Area to the north. Also a short trail to Rocky Point.

Piney Point is our favorite place to camp. The camp host are very friendly and they keep the park beautiful. The entry into the park is beautifully landscaped.

Both women hosts, AMAZING!! The gentleman host, not pleasant at all. The park is lovely. But again, the gentleman host is a deterrent. Very rude, demanding & generally unpleasant.

Lovely helpful lady at the gate answered all my questions as this was our first visit. We had reserved site 31, but then changed it to 32 before arrival just based on pictures. I’m glad we did, 32 is beautiful! Brand new level concrete pad. Walking around campgrounds we thought 39 was a great site too. Our only disappointment was there was trash in our fire pit (that I also observed at other empty sites) and the bathrooms (both men and women) were pretty bad! Only here for one quiet Tuesday night, never saw anyone checking the grounds at all.

Site was clean and level. OLD restrooms & showers. Shower worked well but one commode stopped up for 2 days. Had to leave early due to extreme storms in area. Refunded 3 days without asking. Thanks

We always like our camping adventures at Piney Point. Plenty of wildlife to see.

This is a VERY busy campground on the holidays but people seemed very respecful and everyone quieted down by sunset. The pad is a little aged but still very useable.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
