The park is beautiful and well maintained. There were crews there trimming trees while we were there. The host at the front was a wonderfully nice person (thank you for your service). We chose this spot on the way home to Illinois from Texas, but only stayed one of the two nights due to incoming bad weather. We will be back...for a longer stay! The only thing I can say is a negative: Site B08 is very difficult to back into with a 42 ft 5th wheel. Its narrow, and the post across the street is in a bad spot for cutting the wheels. Otherwise, all thumbs up!

One of our favorites. Internet is not great but if you get close to the water it's better. We had a Verizon and a TMobile jet pack.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The park was well maintained. There was a good selection of sites to choose from. The view of the lake was incredible. It was peaceful and quite during our stay. No complaints. The dump stations (2) looked brand new and had plenty of space for any size RV. We stayed at site B15, on the lake.

The sites were nice. The view of Wright Patman Lake was outstanding. So many loblolly pines, just beautiful. There is a boat ramp, playground for kids, a few short walking trails. Camp host was nice. There are also 3 fishing cabins that can be rented. Spring Lake Park is nearby and is a great place to walk around, picnic, watch waterfowl, walk your dogs. We also went into Texarkana. The downtown area could use some sprucing up, but we enjoyed lunch at Pecan Point Gastropub & Brewery and were allowed to take our two pups in with us in the Tap Room.

We had a one night stay at Clear Springs on Feb 20th. It was cool at the time of our visit and the water had been shut off just before our stay but was back on for our night. The facilities were clean and the camp host was friendly. We got to see a beautiful sunset across the lake.

Our site was covered in water from rains a few days before. The camp hosts were unable to make the change to a new site and doing so online would not work. I had to call rec.gov to make the change and the automated menu is very frustrating. Also cold weather forced us to use the showers and bathrooms. The room temp in the bathrooms was around 50 degrees and the showers had luke warm water. Otherwise it is a great place to camp. Very pretty.

To be honest had a good time because i can make the most of things but the door wouldnt latch at all and this certain building just seemed slightly beatup. I have stayed in the other shelters and theyre in way better shape.

We live coming to Clear Springs! It's our 6/7th time from MN. The 50 amp breaker was bad and it was very cold so it was badly needed!
@WENDYG6822131 · Camped on Jan 10, 2025 at Campsite #B18
Our 5th time here. We use it as a pit stop on our annual trip to see grandkids in Texas and California. Always a pleasure. Even with no power! We arrived pretty late and the hardest thing was convincing the camp host to let us in and that we were really fine camping with no hookups. Everyone at this site is great and the facilities are clean and functional. Thank you

Clean, comfortable
@DonaldF6597460 · Camped on Dec 22, 2024 at Campsite #D3
The staff or the over seers made my visit far from comfortable. They were so rude and rode around worrying about the wrong things. The culverts were stopped up and the ditches flooded everything. The sewer was stopped up. But they were to busy trying to run me off saying I didnt pay when I did, they didnt check it right but kept blowing my phone up threatening me and called the park ranger and told on me for leaving with my camp fire barely even burning while surrounded by all the flooded water in the ditches. I wont be back. Also I was owed a return on a night and never got it

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
