Great campsite for staying while MTB/moto riding at Downieville. Note that we reserved 3 sites together for a large group and site 10 is quite a ways away from 11 & 12.

I didn't know what to expect at Loganville. There were 9 of us on motorcycles camping 8 days across California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah. Our final night was Loganville. We loved the remoteness of the campground. The roads in to our sites for a motorcycle were challenging thought, but our group is pretty experienced. We had a nice dinner at Sierra Pines Resort and Breakfast at Red Moose Cafe in Sierra City. There are NO GAS STATIONS near there so be warned.

The Loganville campground was extremely clean and well kept! The sites are pretty well spaced out. There was only one other group camping whole we were there, but it was the day after labor day. The river next to the campground is so beautiful. I recommend staying here.

Loganville is a nice quiet tweener. While not on the river or a lake, it's close (hike able) to the river and only a short drive to Downieville, Sierra City, Bassets or the Lake District. Mid-week it is under-used so Very peaceful!

Very quiet until Friday night

Great site. Not close to the water as it appears on the map, because the water is very far down. Perfect campsite and lots of space for a few tents. Running water nearby.

Very nice location. Tucked back off the road a little bit which is good and bad depending on what you want and need in a campground. The lower number sites are up on the hill and the higher numbers are down on the lower Side.

We booked site #9 which is in the upper loop. We arrived on a Thursday night and no one else up there and there were just a handful of people at the lower loop. Upper loop is closer to the road but not really close like Union Flat. Nice shady sites, all with bear lockers, picnic tables, and fire pits. Primitive but clean pit toilets. Site #9 has a nice flat round spot up in the back for a tent and just forest behind it. We did end up leaving after the first night because we use a tent for the back of our pickup truck and site #9 is the only one that isn't flat! Because no one else was there, we parked overnight at a neighboring site because it was flat and left the next morning to find a first come, first serve spot at a different campground (we did). The coolest thing about this site is that you can walk down a steep hill (with a switchback trail) to the North Yuba River. Absolutely stunning! We visited in late June and it was great to hang out in our bathing suits but way way too cold to swim. It looked so inviting too! We are used to swimming in colder water and this was just too much for us. But nice wooded campsite and just 2 miles from Sierra City (PCT cuts through and you'll see backpackers).

Hidden dirt road into campground, separate entrances for 2 loops, beware of rain if you drive a smaller/non 4wd car. 1 small outhouse on lower loop ran out of toilet paper, recommend bringing your own/extra. Water spigot on lower loop. Nice, quiet, isolated campground with access to river via short hike & awesome swimming holes! Large campsites with fire pit & decent sized bear box.

Made tent camping reservations for Loganville at short notice, and was able to get a 2-night reservation for a mid-week arrival. Stayed in campsite #9 (upper loop). Excellent campground for basic tent camping. Beautiful location above the Yuba River and a short drive up to the Sierra Buttes lakes region. Relatively large campsites compared to a lot of state parks campgrounds, with space for 3 tents. Pit toilet for the loop was clean and well-maintained. The website listed the upper loop as tent only, but there were a few large camper vans that mildly distracted from an otherwise nice tent camping vibe. This was my first time visiting the area, and it seems like a lot of the recreation is boating and fishing, with some PCT hikers passing through. The lakes do not feel as remote as some other national forest areas due to 4-wheel drive access roads.

Quiet, next to the river, beautiful swimming hole, a rock cliff for jumping in, probably don't try a perfect dive, my friend hit his head. half an hour drive to Sierra Buttes North, an almost 8000ft peak with lake view, but didn't got time to go, but definitely a great camp site.

Big sites and access to river

Location is great but sites are too close together and there was a group of guys that were very loud way past midnight. No camp host to monitor unruly campers. Took away from what could have been a great time.

The map doesn't indicate, but there is a toilet next to site 11. The bathrooms across hwy49 are nicer if you don't mind a short walk. There is a small trail that leads to the river. Overall, a beautiful campground situated in a steep valley with unexpected rain. Sierra city is a couple miles away with places to eat and stock up on firewood/food. Lots of trails nearby.

Sweet and simple campground. Nice access to the Yuba and Sierra City. The facilities were clean and the scenery was beautiful.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
