Very good campsite, wonderful trees and stars in the sky at night , bathroom was close by and clean. Camp hosts were very friendly and gave out good information. There was a nice 1 mile path down to the lake it was easy to walk. I will definitely return.

A gem. There is a trail that leads down near the lake, it is a little long about a mile. The campground was very clean when we were there, it felt like a little slice of heaven. I came during the week and there was almost nobody there, which made for a very peaceful stay, we couldnt have been happier. My dog and I had the best time adventuring all around here. We will definitely be returning! Plenty of trails nearby for a few hikes. Super close to the lake. The host was friendly and even came to check on us a few days into our stay. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. Beware if you come from low elevation, you need to let your body acclimate to the environment!

Always a lovely spot. Very nice after the noisier weekend crowd had moved out.

Campground hosts Dennis and his wife as well as Tom as area manager were and always are very friendly and welcoming. We've been camping at Silvertip for many years and always feel welcomed. The sites are well maintained and clean and the bathrooms are always clean thanks to their efforts.

Dennis is a great camp host, Tom is a great area manager. Campground is clean and has everything we need, and nothing we don't need. Quiet, scenic, and near unlimited activities abound. We hike, mountain bike and target shoot.

Nice camp hosts. My site was closest to exit and road.

The site was a little choppy in terms of places to lay the tent, largely because a lot of repair/maintenance to be done. That said, how sweet to smell the alpine air after a long mountain winter, and many thanks to the host and others who quickly got this campground operational after late snow and tree/campsite damage from the weight of it all. Very grateful to camp here and we will be back.

Excellent campsite.

I didn’t realize there was cabins, restaurant/bar there. You can also rent paddle boards and kayaks. From campground you can hike about a mile to the lake.

The host was friendly, the camp ground was clean but the parking space was very narrow and sloped and difficult to park our RV.

Beautiful campground; excellent camp host

It was a nice campground. Only one sink works in the lower bathrooms.
@PaulD5437485 · Camped on Jul 30, 2022 at Campsite #18
The bathrooms were clean and the Campground was generally quite, and the camp host was nice. However, it was a bit close to the highway 4, and our campsite #18 was sloping, including the picnic table, and was a little too close to site #17. Would be great if both sites were reserved together. Site 19 and 20 were nicer individually.
@KatyH7398502 · Camped on Jul 26, 2022 at Campsite #2
The campground is small and intimate, boasting beautiful views of the valley and perfect hikes to the lake. The host was helpful and kind, the bathrooms were well kept and clean, and though sure #2 was extremely sloped, it worked okay with our 28 foot trailer. We can’t wait to go again and will definitely stake out sites closer to the top. We loved everything about this campground.

I had booked 3 nights but left after first night because of smoke and ash from Yosemite area fire made breathing tough! Unfortunately there was no way to get a refund for nights 2 & 3!! You need to fix that!!
@KristinC611611 · Camped on Jul 9, 2022 at Campsite #9
The campsite was large and had some nice shade. The bathrooms were always very clean.

The campsite we stayed at was clean and complete. The campground host was very helpful and ran a great campground. The second day, the weather took a serious turn for the worse. Night time temps dropped to 13 degrees with snow and rain. The Host was out checking on us and all the other campers. We had the chance to hike a little on the third day. Beautiful area as usual. We finally left one day early due to the freezing conditions. Our gratitude to the Campground Host for being so diligent and friendly.

Only four campers for the weekend. I believe some folks may have stayed home because of the fires, but the weather was great all four days. Some smoke on Sunday from the fire in Sequoia NP. Great camp host, everything was clean. Did not use the restrooms so can't comment on them, but I'm going to make a leap and say they were probably clean and well maintained as well. There is a trail to the lake around site #12 and it makes a nice walk down to the lake and back. Also good for a bike ride.

Unbelievably beautiful place for nature lovers and place to relax. I just wished the lake alpine would be stocked with trout more often.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
