Nice little campground close to the river. It was very hot when we were there. There was a problem with the water. We could use the toilets but no water. Our spot was fine. We had excellent dinner on the other side of the road, at the Lodge!

We enjoyed the campsite and location of the campground. I think the amount charged was too much for not having potable water in the campground. One site I checked with under amenities said there was water.

Love the campsite we had, love that it is a small campground. We had a blast and the Camp Host was great! Will be back again

I can't say enough about the camp hosts Tim and Terry, our truck broke down in our site and it took 2 days to get a tow truck up there. Tim managed to shuffle camp sites around to accommodate us. He lent us fire wood and generally remained upbeat and helpful. The camp itself is a wonderful place with easy access to the river. I look forward to returning there (and bringing Tim a few bundles of firewood)

Patrick Creek has easy access, good camp sites, convenient water near each site, and good bathrooms. Peaceful and scenic.

It's a nice small campground located in a nice area by the river. Good location for accessing the redwoods and various trails. The site is older and could use some upgrades and TLC. The lights in the restroom didn't work. Trails could be cleared.

I prefer smaller quieter campgrounds and that, along with the close Smith River access, takes me back every year. The only drawback is the traffic noise.

nice camping area, but traffic noise was annoying. Trails need clearing of overgrowth, picnic area nicer than campground. The day I arrived three days ahead of season closing in mid September the temperature was 93 degrees. There should be a longer season to avoid the summer heat open earlier and stay open later.

Our favorite part of the Redwoods. Jedediah Smith Redwoods is breathtaking. Patrick Creek was the perfect place to stay. Our kids, 7 & 8 became Junior Rangers at the Hiouchi Ranger Station. They gave great tips for places to take our kids, which included climbing on amazing downed logs at Simpson-Reed Grove and a hollowed log forming a tunnel to walk through across the street at the Hatton Trail (not the loop), and Stout Grove for a 3000? year old tree. Our campground host was amazing, she brought our kids Smokey Bear comics and a coloring book. The only downside was mosquitos, so bring protection!!

The campground was sweet with nice private sites. The beach access for the river was a delight.

Beautiful campground on the Smith River. The bathrooms are flush and very clean. Host was very helpful when we had a small mix up with our spot. There only 13 sites so it doesn't get loud or busy. The day use are next to the campground is a great place to get into the water.

Beautiful campground, clean and well maintained. Only negative feature was too close to a very busy highway, lots of vehicle noise.

Right near road so get a site near the water do the noise is far less. There is a fence so you can’t get to the water from your site but you can walk to the day use area to be closer. Pleasant and clean. There are a few other campground sites closer to redwoods, I may choose those another time.

We didnt end up staying here because we needed 2 nights and it was only available for one. However, when we arrived we looked to see if there was a site open for a second but there wasn’t so we went down the road. I think I read that others said it has weird vibes I and totally agree. Not sure what it is, it just felt off so I’m glad we didn’t stay.

We loved how small the campground was and that there was a swimming hole just down a trail. Already making plans to return!

Excellent campground quiet spaces are big enough for three tents if needed, facilities are always clean and well stocked.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
