Great site, by banshee hill and not too far from the turn off from the road. Great spot overall

Camp host was very friendly and informative. Amazing location and clean sites. Easy access to the dunes and beautiful surrounding areas.

Less campsite, more ATV track with camp spots carefully nestled over blind crests. Ended up being unworkable, we went elsewhere

Sand camping is a great experience with friends and family. Remember to bring plenty of water with you and a good air compressor to air your tires back up when you leave. The area has very tall dunes and good trails both in the woods and alongside the beach. Remember to pack all your garbage out. The scenery and views are fantastic. Nice place to have fun.

We had made our family reservation and were specifically instructed to park within so many feet of our campsite marker but upon arrival, there was no marker to be found. Unfortunately, we did not have service to call for further direction so we were forced to camp elsewhere down the road. Our four wheel drive vehicle was sinking as we were searching for our marker so the entrance could have been graded however that was the least of our concern.

Always great

Space 32 is amazing - great view of banshee hill, close to the road outlet. The only negative is how soft the sand is the ten feet from the road outlet, we got stuck on the way out after a fun few days, thankfully had friends there to pull us out real quick (front tires were four feet from the asphalt pour out 😂) will be back anyway!

We brought our tent here to camp and were sincerely disappointed to see that there were no site markers anywhere in the sand, as well as large pools of water covering multiple site locations (according to the map). Further, the crowds of OHVs flying over hills and around blind corners through the camp site locations mean't there was a very high likelihood our tent would have been run over. We decided to leave before even staying one night, and wish that we could have had our money refunded.

The site is a large ATV track. There are NO markers to indicate where the sites are. Also, some of the area is flooded. We never where able to find the site we reserved (site 31) or any camp site for that matter. DO NOT stay here. You'll probably end up getting run over by some kid on an ATV, and you'll never be able to find your site or be able to get to it. So we where forced to leave and didn't stay there.

It was our fist time sand camping. It was a great experience. Ended up helping a few people pull their motorhomes out. I would not recommend taking a motorhome. Our 4x4 pickup, camper and 24’ enclosed trailer aired down to 15psi on everything did great 👍

one star only because we arrived at night no one around and think this camping is for ATVers we were misinformed as we had a van & didn't want to get stuck in the sand so turned around and stayed at the Umpqua RV park which is noisy with those ATVs .. we know the beach on the other side of those dunes is breath taking though .............

We had a wonderful time. Good weather, a little windy , however quite enjoyable experience. Sand was clean and smooth. We liked it so much that we are going back in a couple of weeks!

No real place to park my boat and camper. Eventually went to the large campground and boat slips. Lost Mr original deposit, but was very happy with the boat slip and camper space.

We had no way up to our camping spot so we paid and didn’t get to camp because it was way up on the dunes 🥺 nowhere in the reservation does it say it’s up in the dunes

The area is absolutely beautiful, however the campsites are right on the main atv path, theres no offset safe place to camp. We had a tent and a jeep, wanted to do some hiking and jeeping. We set up our tent right next to the marker per regulations and had atvs nearly hitting us repeatedly. Hiking is nearly impossible as there's ATVs whizzing around everywhere, and these people dont care you are on foot. We set up, but after nearly getting run over in our own designated camping area twice during daylight hours on the first day we packed up and left to find a hotel - we didnt feel it was safe after dark. Also, I have a small trail jeep with heavy mud/pavement cross tires. It was ok going, but youre going to need something at least that burly to get thru here - an all wheel drive suv with standard tires isnt gonna cut it. Also, was really turned off by people selling political gear and flags by the entrance, which then ended up on many of the atvs that tore thru our camp. Keep your politics to yourself, I dont care what they are. Id use this area for day use ATVing/jeeping only, dont bother camping or expecting to enjoy scenery.

The site did not answer the phone the day before our reservation and the answering machine message said there would be no host. We got to the site, and found out at 10:00 pm that we are not allowed to park in a parking lot next to the campsites and were suppose to park on the beach, which was not mentioned on the reservation page. Our car could not make it on the beach, so the host (who we had not seen before then) told us that we could not stay there, and his only suggestion was to stay in a sand pit where people were riding their ATVs before disappearing, so we had to drive 3 hours away for a hotel and we did not receive a refund.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
