Very nice private sites. Even a few with some sun (which can be a Great Thing on the Oregon Coast).

Excellent camp spot. There was a bear roaming, which if the camp host would have went around and told everyone, we would have brought our food bin in.

We were really disappointed in our stay here. There was something poured all over the ground near the picnic table and our dogs ate it and got really sick. We tried to scrape it up and keep them away as best we could. This should have been cleaned up from the camp host prior to our arrival. Also the mens washrooms were absolutely disgusting with feces all over the floor and it stunk like a portapotty. You could smell it from the outside. The only reason for not giving a 1 star is how easily accessible the dunes were for a walk and stargazing but we definitely wont return. Its priced very high for what you get. No showers, no hook ups & bathrooms that were disgusting.

Bathrooms were dirty and lacked toilet paper. Some sites were overloaded with extra people and cars.

I camped here 60 years ago as a kid. Still a good quick place to stay when traveling.

The camp ground has fun sites with natural structures/barriers from the shrubs and plants. It was quiet (minus the RV generator that ran constantly) and it was great to be near the dunes and the John Dellenback trail. I would recommend for for folks that arent looking for something too remote.

This campground is quiet with spacious sites so you feel like you are camping in a forest. There are convenient pathways that allow access to the dunes. We rented a sandboard at the first town north of the campground on Highway 101. Everyone loved sledding down the sand hills.

We enjoyed our stay on Aug. 6th. We discovered a new site that we liked. Unfortunately, we discovered this site because of the lack of upkeep in the campground bathrooms. We have been camping at Eel Creek for over 20 years. It was one of our favorite campgrounds. We have mostly stayed in the back loop. However, the last several times the men's restroom toilet has been closed because of ????. Same thing happened last year, but it was repaired. This year there seems to be no urgency to remedy the situation, leaving the closest Men's toilet at least 1/3 of a mile away. Very disappointing. That restroom, during our last stay, ran out of toilet paper was was not properly maintained. Perhaps fires occupied the forest service employees. On a good note, the new fire pits are incredible. Still trying, but disappointed.Richard

Nice large campsites and a dune walk to the beach

Overall a nice campground. I didn't see the host checking or cleaning the campsites between being occupied. Our campsite showed lack of attention.

I loved the campsite! Nice and large and private. I only was able to stay one night, but plan to return and stay for several nights. The campground was quiet and peaceful - just what I needed and was looking for. I'll be back again and again.

This is right next to the John Dellenback Dunes trailhead so if you are looking for a hike through the Oregon dunes this is the campground for you. The campground seems to be protected from the wind but out on the dunes trail is a different story so be prepared for possible windy conditions if youre going out. The bathrooms and campsites were clean and nothing crazy happened. 10/10

Eel Creek Campground is beautiful! It is easy to get to. The camp sites are well set up and no two are alike. We traveled with our kiddo who said exploring was the best and everything was green and pretty.

Great campsites next to the glorious dunes. First time being here but will definitely be back! Plenty of resources nearby.

I have been to this campground many times for many years. Great place! But this time the restrooms were not clean, no toilet paper, and that's a shame for such nice buildings. We were there for 3 days and the campground was at most 1/3 full. I never saw a camp host making rounds.
@JimmyW82697F20 · Camped on May 16, 2024 at Campsite #29
Clean, Quiet, Nice Fire Pit n Table. Sites are close together yet private thanks to trees n foliage. Be back soon n often to enjoy riding the Dunes.

On arrival, I stopped to show my camping reservation to the host. She did not tell me that the bathrooms were closed. The nearest restroom was 4 miles away. Also, a nearby campsite started a loud generator near dusk, which at least drown out the distant dune buggy noise. The dunes themselves are still fabulous, and the dune buggies are not allowed in the area near the campground. Last time I camped there it was October and not crowded, a much better experience. ps, I was told that they were bringing in port-a-potties until the restrooms could be repaired.

No running water and bathrooms didnt work. We had a reservation for three nights and ended up leaving the second night. Pretty much was told there isnt a refund policy. Besides that, campground was okay. Underwhelming, not a lot going on at the campground. People speeding by, you can see your neighbors, no privacy. Wouldnt recommend and wont return.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
