Had an enjoyable evening under the stars with my nephew. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great for beginner campers! The campgrounds are pretty close together so you won't feel to secluded. Bathroom is great condition, lovely fire pits, lots of parking, and honestly some awesome trails starting right from the campground

Very nice experience. I highly recommend choosing a campsite in the "no generator" section, which is on the outer loop. These sites have more privacy and back up to the woods.

Campsites aren't huge, but nicely shaded. Wish they had more bathroom stalls; will be fine if you're in a trailer that has a bathroom, but if you have to use the campground bathroom you might need to wait

Campsite was well-maintained, and bathrooms were quite sufficient despite not having showers. Everyone there was so friendly, and the campsite had a few walking trails within the premises that were lovely to explore.

We stayed two nights in B123 and then one night in A101. For us, 30' TT, the A101 has a better spot for us. The park is beautiful and has great access to trails. We attended the ranger program on Thursday evening which provided great history of the park.

It was a fun camping experience. The campground was tidy and tranquil.The Park Rangers were kind and helpful, as was the Campground Host.We had wonderful hikes, saw beautiful vistas and gazed at bright starry skies.All in all...it was a very enjoyable time at Matthews Arm.

This was our 3rd trip to SNP and our 2nd stay at Mathews Arm. It was not crowded and fall colors were very nice.

Clean and quiet
@Katherine58507 · Camped on Oct 18, 2024 at Campsite #C160
The camp sites are super close together and very small. We could hear our neighbors talking and playing music all night. Only a few of the sites had a bear safe box- ours did not. We were right next to the path to the bathroom- people were walking right next to our tent all night but we had no other space on our site to put the tent. The rangers were extremely friendly and helpful, though.

Superbe parc et camping. Des randos partent directement du campement. Tranquille, propre et dans la nature.

Stayed only 1 night on a Monday. Registration was efficient and attendants were helpful. Campsites and restrooms were fairly clean. Generators in our camp area were not allowed; was happy about that. There were a lot of people camping. Except for an occasional dog barking, the campground was quiet.

Easy to navigate, clean restrooms, and friendly folks around

Great campground! We were pleased with our campsite - private with a fire pit/grate and a bear locker. We only recommend having showers at the campground. We had to drive to Big Meadow campground (about an hour away) to shower. The showers there are coin operated ($5 for 10 minutes).

The campsite was beautiful. It wouldve been nice to have a few more bathrooms because they were very crowded and somewhat dirty. Campsite was clean and loved that they had firewood available for a small fee. The Rangers were extremely extremely helpful and did a great job. Our camp post Was very gracious and helped us out a lot with places to go and things to see. Trails were nice.

Sites are not very level. A lot of barking dogs and continual campfire smoke. We left early.

Pretty good campground. The location is fabulous - easy access to lots of hiking, including waterfalls, and close to a number of beautiful overlooks by car.However, it's a quite crowded campground, which would be mostly fine except that people inevitably play amplified music loudly until 10pm. I don't know why amplified music isn't banned from campgrounds, but it's not. And these sites are way too close together to have amplified music.
@JenS8690337 · Camped on Oct 2, 2024 at Campsite #A60
Campsite was clean and quiet. Check-in process was simple and frequently saw the rangers driving around the sites. Bathroom was clean. Overall great experience.

My site was a little steep for an rv, wish the park staff knew this before arriving at site
@williams984835 · Camped on Sep 23, 2024 at Campsite #B136
Friendly, efficient check-in. Nicely wooded, level site for small camper van. Clean bathrooms. Park was very quiet with, maybe, a dozen campers total.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
