We only stayed one night, and it started to rain as we were setting up the tent. No other campers were near our site, so it was a pleasantly quiet and restful night, even though the power was out for most of the evening and the bathrooms were dark.

Clean bathrooms. Dump station was working, but unfortunately no fresh water was available at the dump station. This was a challenge since the dump station at Lodgepole was also out of service. We visited in early November, and many services were being shutdown for the winter. Potwisha visitor center was very nice, and we really enjoyed our ranger-led short hike with Tina. There's only one major hike here, Marble Falls, that we enjoyed. No cell coverage at the campground.

Sou geografo e moro no Brasil. Fui para o USA para conhecer o Sequoia National Park para conhecer as sequoias. Estou extremamente satisfeito com a estrutura da rea de camping. O cuidado com a rea de reserva do camping, a limpeza do banheiro incrvel. Parabns a equipe do parque.

Our campsite had several holes and large rocks around the picnic table and/or tent spots which were tripping hazards. It was cold (which we expected in Nov), but fire ban made it less enjoyable. Although there were lots of signs about the fire ban, some other camper came (with his camper) and lit a campfire and since we had not seen a ranger except when checking into the park itself, my husband went to tell the camper about the fire ban (which luckily the camper was okay with). Good amount of wildlife and dog friendly. Bathrooms okay, but rely on the cleanliness of other campers. No showers on site.

We had a great time. No service at all for phones, but right next to tunnel rock and near hospital rock. The view from 180 as we came down from kings canyon was amazing. The bathrooms were warm and clean.

Loved it, beautiful campground. We stayed right next to the beautiful trail that starts on the campground.

We visited October 2024 and had site 16. One of the most beautiful campgrounds we visited. No or extreme weak cellphone service.

I camped in mid October, loved it it was pretty quiet and small groups of people.

Site is somewhat set off so a little more private. Its near the restroom and water spigot without being too close. The restroom is also decently nice for a campground with both liquid soap and an air dryer.The site is sloped, including a slight slope to the tent pad. I could just barely squeeze a six-person tent on there. There are a few stairs between the site and parking, but I didnt find those to be a big deal. I actually could get a bar of service on AT&T every once in a while to send and receive text messages, but cell service is definitely unreliable here.The one major downside to this site was the yellow jackets! Every time I cooked, a bunch of them came out of nowhere. That definitely made meals difficult.

Pretty good. Site #2 had a lot of space to spread out on mostly flat ground. Bathrooms are average. Host was friendly.

Potwisha is a small campground near the south entrance to Sequoia National Park. The bathrooms are great. The sites seem small, so please keep that in mind when booking. Few sites would accommodate over 24'. I camped in the disability site 40. I do have a disability, so I do qualify; however, I would have found it difficult if my disability was a restricted movement one. The site is not level, and I can't imagine negotiating a wheelchair. Regardless, the camp is stunningly beautiful, and I would camp there again without question. Book in advance as it is small and popular.

This was sadly the only bad experience of all campgrounds we did (Meeks bay Lake Tahoe, Upper Pines Yosemite, San Simeon Washburn, Big Sur Campground).The space was not level and too narrow. There was nobody there. The bees/wasps over there are a real plague. No campfires were allowed. Overall a poor management of the locations Im afraid to say.

Such a nice Campground in stunning scenery, worth every penny and every second spent there. All facilities were clean and worked perfectly. Highly recommended!

The campsites are not level We had a camper van and it was horribly crooked The campsite had trash all over I did pick it up not sure if the bear box has every been cleaned Grease running down it The restrooms were clean

The camp spots are far from being level, they are extremely uneven. In many spots there is no chance to place a bottle or cup on the table inside the RV, without it sliding. Due to the slope on many camp spots, sleeping inside the RV becomes a challenge The branches of the trees on the access roads inside the campground are very low. Watch out for your AC units / solar panels on the roof of the RV. Be careful with the length of the RV. It is recommended not to drive the road from the visitor centre to Potwisha Campground and further to the Giant Forest Museum with vehicles longer than 24 ft, while Potwisha Campground still offers spots for vehicles upto 40 ft length.

The place was good, but when we arrived at our reserved spot there was other people in our spot, so we paid for nothing. But overall good campgrounds!!
@KellyK9785145 · Camped on Sep 13, 2024 at Campsite #5
Campground was way too noisy - lots of partiers with loud dance music and kids running around screaming at midnight. Plus someone had peed on our parking pad so our site smelled of urine.

Too far
@CharlesW117121 · Camped on Aug 22, 2024 at Campsite #25
The campground itself was nice enough. There was a party at a group site that lasted until 1 a.m. with a boombox and repeated chanting and singing. I hesitate to rate the campground low for something people did but the rangers were absent during the evening.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
