Tried calling for door lock combo as instructed but no answer. Called Ranger but they didnt have combo. Combo on door paperwork. No wifi or cell service. Limited service about 2 minutes drive down mountain turnout. Cabin nice size. Had good time going to water holes

In a very good, woody sort of location. No cell reception whatsoever, but plenty of outlets and opportunities for outdooring (hiking, creek swimming, looking at sequoias, etc.). Not too far away from the nearest town, although the 2.5 mile drive up the mountain from the main road can get hairy sometimes. Cabin itself was very rustic looking with plenty of comfortable seating/beds (both couches folded out to beds, and the recliner could serve as a bed as well, so technically the cabin could sleep 7), usable shower, sink, range, and fridge (and other appliances), although too few silverware (but a good number of pots, pans, and plates). It really was like a home away from home. Felt isolated enough from the nearby main camp, but not to the point of feeling 'lonely' (we were not far away from the camp host, who was very gracious, helpful, and friendly). Not sure what that other review was talking about regarding the windows. Most of them opened (although some didn't have mosquito nets over them, which is one of my only complaints about the cabin) and were more than enough to keep the cabin cool during the day and especially at night (when it actually got a bit chilly). Overall, if we ever find ourselves in the Sequoia National Forest again, we will definitely book this cabin again!

Location was great and Cabin would have been great except for one important thing... When we arrived the region was in the middle of a heat wave, it was 105+ in Visalia, Tulare, etc. The Wishon Campground was into the 80's/90's during the day. There was a good breeze at night and it got down into the 60's so we had the assumption that the cabin would cool down at night. Which I am sure that it would have if the windows weren't painted shut!!!! We were unable to open a single window in the entire building!!!! With 90 degree temps and literally no airflow it made for a miserable experience inside of the cabin. I would not recommend renting this between June and September, unless your idea of a vacation is sleeping in a literal oven. I wish I had better things to say, because everything else was amazing. The location was awesome with the close proximity of the river, plenty of hiking trails, and no cellular service to distract from nature. The cabin was other wise very clean and having a private bathroom with shower is always preferable. Unfortunately all of my fond memories of this experience will be overshadowed by the miserable sweaty, sleepless nights rolling around on a sweat soaked plastic bag covered mattress choking on stagnant 90 degree air.

Loved it. I've seen other reviews about bugs and what not; Well it is a campground and even though is a cabin let me remind everyone this is not a resort. So, if your noy cleaning after yourself ants will pop up and you better close those doors otherwise the mosquitos will get you. Overall 10/10.

The restroom was full of pests; it was almost impossible to get in there.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
