We were motorcycle camping and reserved campsite 3. It was too steep for our bikes, but the host helped us change sites to 13, which was awesome for us! Great site right by the creek with flat parking for our bikes. The host does an amazing job keeping the site clean and raked! Really great campground. Camping among the giant sequoia was awesome!

Didnt spend the night, there wasnt enough room to park a small van. Sites were also all on top of each other and multiple campfires were going despite the ban. Host was literally smoking out the bathrooms.

We loved our stay at Belknap! It is a beautiful campground, kept immaculately clean by the camp host. The other campers were quiet and respectful of the area as well. Camp host was super friendly. We could not have asked for a better experience.

- Very beautiful, spacious campsite along the river. The weather was perfect. The high was about 85 degrees Fahrenheit during the day, and the low was about 50 degrees Fahrenheit at night. The bear box for food was very convenient. The picnic tables and fire pit were also great amenities. The trees provided plenty of shade and comfort. There was a spigot at campsite 7, just 3 campsites up from where we stayed at campsite 10. It was a little walk, but not too bad. Just be prepared with water containers to transport the water back to your campsite for cooking and washing. Also, it is a good idea to bring a few 2.5 gallon containers of water. When we were there in the middle of August, the sites were filled and there were a lot of campers.

Such a beautiful campground! We were in site 13, which is RIGHT next to the creek. It was so relaxing! We thoroughly enjoyed our camping trip. This campground is amazing. There's a small store not too far away for extra ice or whatever you may need. The grounds are well maintained with hiking trails nearby. We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and how quiet and peaceful it was. There was a water station right next to our site too. So convenient! The camp host was very welcoming and had firewood for sale. Thank you for hosting us! We had a great time!

Camp Host Dan is the best there is. He works hard non stop keeping this campground clean and sites are even raked prior to arrival.

Hard to get to because the signs are not great, but such a beautiful place to camp!! So peaceful and the water is amazing!

This campground was AWESOME! Right in the middle of a giant sequoia grove. It is also a fairly small campground which was nice, so not noisy or busy. It was also very family friendly. Site #10 had a creek that ran right behind it which was nice to dip in, and the Tule river was a very short walk away, which also had great swimming holes. There were very nice short walks and longer hikes you could do directly from the campground. And it is a short drive to Camp Nelson and the general store and saloon in case you need anything. Plus, the campground's host was extremely friendly, and keeps the campground in great shape. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Campsite was very clean. Host (Dan) is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our trip.

Nice quiet camp site with great swimming hole and access to trails. Camp host was kind and helpful. I would stay away from camp site 001 as its downwind from the bathrooms. Bring cash for firewood.

Beautiful, well-kept campground by first-class host Daniel. The vault toilets were cleaner than most people's home toilets. We stayed three peaceful nights serenaded by the babbling creek adjacent to our campsite. The swimming hole in the campground was one of the most refreshing dips we took on our trip to Camp Nelson and the SNF area.

Your site is seriously remiss in providing accurate information about the campgrounds: your site does not recognize that each campsite has the ability to accommodate an extra vehicle at an extra vehicle fee. Your site made me reserve three campsites and no extra vehicle possibilities and you are WRONG!!!!!!! Once we arrived and discussed our plan with the camp host we were told that some of these sites can accommodate even two extra vehicles. If you are going to be the only website to be able to reserve campsites I suggest that you ACCURATELY provide a service. You really owe me a refund for the extra campsites that I reserved and did not use. You have failed to do a good service for campers.

A beautiful and clean campground, well cared for by the friendly camp host. The mighty sequoias and the rushing Tule river along with Belknap creek make this quite a unique spot in the Sierras.

Sites 11, 13, 14 (hands down best site in my opinion) & 15 ( 2 person footprint) all sit on the river. Regardless, you will hear the river and be around old growth Sequioa trees.Super beautiful campground, well maintained, situated a mile from a general store and pizza/bar. 45 min away from Trail of 1000 Giants, Needles and Dome.

A beautiful campground with a cool (pretty easy) hike along the Tule river next to some old family cabins. Highly recommend it. A small campground nestled amongst some giant sequoia stands and flowing water really sets the stage. As a note, the parking for some of the spots requires a short walk to set up your camp. If you have a lot of gear or heavy stuff, be prepared and respect the forest- no driving on it. We cant wait to go back

Our site was between a creek and a river next to old Sequoias. Sure a hot shower would have been nice but this place is amazing.

Had a great experience camping at Belknap! Only down side was that we weren't allowed to have a campfire or BBQ. But camp was a beautiful location and bathrooms were fairly clean. Shoutout to our camp host Daniel!

Our camp host was extremely kind, he greeted us right when we arrived and answered all questions Uc we had any. The campsite was super clean and kept well, it looked as if no one had been there before us so that was great. We hiked the Nelson trail which was a super easy and scenic hike.

Firstly, let me say that I’m a bit apprehensive to write a good review. The only reason being, is that I would like to be able to book a site at Belknap in the future. My only comfort is that the winding road will make it a bit less tempting to potential campers. I loved my stay at Belknap Campground. The campground is immaculate. Dan, the camp host is so friendly and seems made for the task. Dan keeps a clean and well groomed campground. As far as pit toilets go, these were quite acceptable. The river and stream running through the campground are lovely. If you’re a light sleeper get a site further from the water features. Yes, the fire did ravage the surrounding area but the campground is still beautiful. No campfires allowed! Though this was disappointing, when you drive through the burnt area, you can understand the abundance of caution. I will go back again and again. I have found a hidden gem!

Belknap is a perfect campground! The creek that runs through it leads to a lovely little swimming hole and there are plenty of hikes accesible from the campground. Really clean, well cared for and loved campground because the camp host Daniel is awesome! Definitely would stay here again.

This is my favorite campground I’ve been to! Very well kept with clean bathrooms and a super friendly host. I will definitely be back :) there is a trail with swimming pools behind camp site 14 that you should check out

We had a wonderful time at Belknap campground thanks to Daniel. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and his hard work around the site was very apparent. Many thanks to Daniel for maintaining such a beautiful parcel in the woods.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
