Lake Cleveland is a beautiful place and the campground is well designed and accommodating. However, the Forest Service is not managing the location as well as they should. They have allowed cattle into the campground with all the associated droppings and mess that they bring. The Forest Service should be contacted to find out why they are allowing livestock to roam freely in the campground and to fix fences, cattle guards and instruct ranchers to manage their livestock.

Lots of things to do at Lake Cleveland especially in the nearby areas. A trip to Mount Harrisons fire station is well worth it. Limited camping opportunities with some sites are much better than others. Mostly related to the amount of shade.

Camped at the East side campground site 6, Campground is not staffed with a campground host, We arrived at our site early afternoon and someone was in our reserved site that was clearly marked. We approached the campers and informed them that this was reserved for our use, they promptly packed up and left leaving a smoldering fire in the fire pit. Latter that day we noticed a number of empty sites with fire pits smoldering or cluttered with burnt logs. The restrooms were unclean and our neighbors ran their generator late into the night.

We stayed here for one night and absolutely loved it we wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the area more. The campsite was nice and absolutely beautiful. The facilities were clean and the hosts were very nice.

On Sunday many locals came up and used the campsites without paying for them. Two huge gatherings on two different sites. Kind of ruined the experience. Advice is to NOT stay at the campground on a Sunday.

Beautiful place with a nice little trail to an overlook & also one around the lake. Also saw the Cassia Crossbill! Lots of birds with nesting Mountain Bluebirds next to our camp. The proximity to the peak & rare paintbrush is also a plus. Our only complaint is the few OHV’s being driven through the campground in the evening. Luckily they stopped when Mark spoke to them.

. Was not able to use the site due to smoke from other fires. Tried to cancel trip, but Recreation Gov. only assigned a case number and never got back to me. d their policy, but was just asking for help.

Beautiful location, sites are 50/50 whether you will get one that is good for a tent, otherwise you'll be setting your tent up on the driveway. It would be wonderful if there was ONE spigot somewhere in the campgroup to get water, use our funds to get some water please.

Campsite was great, a little small, but it worked out well for us (3 campers), facilities were nice and we loved fishing. We caught plenty of fish and the weather was perfect! The campsites were all full, but the lake didn't feel crowded. Would camp here again!

This is a lovely spot, high above the hot desert floor. It was wonderful on weekdays when it was fairly uncrowded and tranquil. Weekends are different matter and should be avoided if you are looking for peace. Weekends are probably great if your intention is to party and get wild.

Absolutely loved staying here. I stayed in site 8 which was far enough away from other sites with a lot of space. Very close proximity to the lake with beautiful views. Bathrooms were a little walk but far enough away to not have the residual scent of the pit toilets. No bear boxes or food storage available, limited cell service and must pack out any trash. If I lived closer I would stay here more often. Beautiful campground.

Stayed in camp site 6, level for our 24 ft. class C. Table and fire pit were very clean as well as the camp site. Lake was full and people were catching fish. Returning next month for an other three days.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
