The host was not helpful at all and she was never around

The camp steward was great! He worked with us to get an additional camp space for my brother. He was super helpful and did a great job keeping bathrooms clean, plenty of toilet paper and added benefit of hand sanitizer! Campsites were very clean.

We had not been to this campground before and were very impressed. Nice separation between sites. Close but not too close to the west fork. The host was excellent.

The camp host this year was one of the best Ive ever encountered. He was visible, kind and did an excellent check in. The location is very beautiful with large rock faces nearby and the San Juan river a short walk away.

John the camp host is one of the best host we have experienced in West Fork for our 37 years of staying there.

We were there with two dogs and two granddaughters, 9 and 15 yrs old. They found the squirrels and the river to be utterly fascinating. The surrounding countryside was also incredibly beautiful for newcomers to nature. Finally, the campground host, John, could not have been more helpful and all around wonderful. Bathrooms incredibly clean too no eew factor for newbies! It poured rain the first night but the tent held and between one dog snuggling and the other snoring we all made it happily through the thunder and lightening. Altogether a wonderful experience!

As a family of two adults and one 8 year old, we thoroughly enjoyed this campsite. It was very well kept. The vaulted toilets are cleaned daily. Park ranger John was extremely nice and accommodating. He maintained the area and was attentive to people arriving/leaving. They have firewood for sale at the front, but you can also rummage fire wood off fallen trees. I was impressed with the lack of bugs in the area.(Besides mosquitoes) We will defiantly be coming back. 6/27/24-6/30/24.

Lovely quiet campground excellently placed between Pagosa Springs and South Fork. Good sized sites compared to some other campgrounds nearby. Will definitely go there again.

The area - the trails, wildflower-filled meadows, lakes, "flat tops", forests - are very beautiful. Got some AT&T service but no Verizon. Problems: massive swarms of files (deer, horse, etc.) and mosquitoes feeding off you and, perhaps even worse, intolerable amounts of disgusting horse manure on the area trails.

Tiene espacios first come first services., pero online no aparece.

This campground was a dream. Wonderfully appointed spots with lots of space between and great pads for tent camping (not as much room for large RVs but that's a plus as we are only tent campers). Its only about 15-20 minutes from Pagosa Springs where you can visit the hot springs for a dip. The campground host was super welcoming and was great to chat with. They have potable water, firewood, trash and vault toilets. The bathrooms were the cleanest we have ever seen at a campground and as a Colorado native that camps 5-6 times per summer for the past 20 years, that is truly saying something. We were there over labor day weekend and the campground never filled completely, I am assuming because its about 5 hours from Denver, but the drive is well worth it. We will absolutely be staying here again.

Love this campground and camp host - John - was fantastic as well. John was attentive and a great story teller. The bathrooms were clean and the campground itself was pristine as always. We will be back!

Excellent Camp Host. The place was clean and he was present to make sure everything was in order. Many of the camp hosts do the least they can to get by, or they are never there. Our camp host came thru the facility regularly to make sure things were clean in the toilets and the camping sites were utilized by those that had paid the fee. The facility was quiet and relaxing. Not many ATV's because the road pretty much dead ends up a ways. We would return again! We appreciated him very much!

Clean, quiet and well-spaced sites. Host kept the restrooms very clean. Unlike several compgrounds that are situated close to a road, West Fork is located a few miles off the highway. Pagosa Springs is about a 15 minute drive.

We were at site #8 and it was great. Steps away from a quiet stream. We were there July 14-16 and it was hot during the day (90*), but cold at night (50*). The camp host John, was super nice and helpful. The campground was clean and peaceful. We have ATT and had full service. Bathrooms were clean.

Fantastic campground. Lots of space, with good cover between most sites. And the large trees are beautiful! The river is only a few hundred feet from the campsites, out of site, but just a short walk away. You can hear the sound of the rushing water from the adjacent sites when it is quiet. The campground host this summer has been fantastic, very helpful and flexible. Be sure to check out Treasure falls, just a few miles away on Hwy 160.

This is a great secluded campground off the beaten path. Lots of trees, very quiet. I hope that people don't find this place (haha) - it is a gem!
@MarkW2201412 · Camped on Jun 25, 2023 at Campsite #20
The Camp Host was professional and friendly. He knew how to take care of the campground and the campers. The Camp Host job can be a thankless and sometimes dangerous job. John selflessly (sometimes not getting a day off) worked to keep the campground orderly, clean and safe. I would request that a Law Enforcement Ranger patrol the campground at least every few days for everyone's safety. Bad people (drug addicts, mentally ill and destructive) try to sneak into the campground putting the camp host and the campers in danger.
@Elizabeth31927 · Camped on Jun 19, 2023 at Campsite #20
We always enjoy this campground. The host was great. A little more small plastic litter pickup would be nice, but we find that at all campgrounds.
@LauraC7322672 · Camped on Jun 15, 2023 at Campsite #17
Beautiful campground, extremely quiet (except for the sounds of birds in the trees and the rushing nearby river). The sites are large and well spaced with lots of privacy. The campground host was very friendly and helpful and obviously knows the surrounding area very well. He gave us several great recommendations on places to eat on town and good drives and hikes in the area.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
