The campground was clean and quiet. The bathrooms were the cleanest we have ever experienced in a campground. And the Host was helpful and extremely nice! Cant wait to visit again!

Campground was great, and very clean. Only problem was the trailers hauling ATV and OTVs going up and down road early in am and late at night.

This site is special. A generous amount of room to spread out when you arrive combine with mature trees and the sound of the river next to you make it a little bit of heaven.

The water from the pump was quite sulphorous. We saw the sign saying water was tested monthly and exempt from chorlination requirements, but it would have been nice to know to expect the smell. The reservation website could also mention the hand pump is quite a work out

We love East Fork campground near Pagosa Springs. Very clean restrooms, the sites are beautiful. It did rain quite a bit, but that happens when camping.

Campground host very helpful and friendly. The bathrooms were very clean and campsites were well laid out. One thing we notice was a lack of flat tents spots . Would definitely go back .

I have stayed at this site with no problem. The new camp host ran a noisy generator and my time was changed from 7 days to 3 days.

We were very disappointed with our tent camping experience. The big problem was there was no water. The pump close to our site had no pump handle so was inoperable. My husband searched walking all over the campground until another camper told him of another pump. He could barely pump the handle, to get a trickle of water, and he is not a weakling. The camp host was not around, maybe his day off. Other campers (rv) said they brought their water, or were going to town the next day to get some. We had tent camped the previous night at Target Tree campground in the same national forest and rated it 5 star.

Campground host Jude is a consummate professional host. His campground is always pristine and organized.Although this campground lacks electric, the overall experience more than makes up for it. The quiet forestedlocation along with the gorgeous nearby San Juan River combine to make this a relaxing peaceful stay.

We reserved site #22 because the site details on the app said it was a pull through site. It is a back in that slopes. Difficult to level camper trailer. The host was very accommodating and friendly and allowed us to move to a first come/serve site that was more level. Most sites could be improved to allow camper trailers a better fit. We will return but make sure we get appropriate camper site.

Mary, the camp host met us as we were arriving. She quickly saw that our 23 foot travel trailer would not fit well in the spot we reserved. She rode ahead in her little cart to show us two other more suitable sites. After we set up she came by and took a picture for us. She chatted with us, and told us about local points of interest. We had a good three days in Pagosa Springs, Treasure Falls, Wolf Creek Pass, and even a drive to Durango and Silverton. About two hours after our departure, she called to let us know that we had dropped our travel trailer keys at the site. Fortunately, we had a spare set. We asked if she could mail them to us at her convenience, along with an address to which we could send a check to reimburse her. Yesterday she texted me a confirmation of the mailing. We have had many great experiences with camp hosts, but Mary exceeded them all.

The cleanest campground I ever stayed in and the Host was so friendly and helpful

Excellent campground and site. The spacious sites were well laid out and gave us the feeling of camping in the forest without all the extra work of a true dispersed site. The host was wonderful, friendly enough to be helpful without being over intrusive, and she kept the vault toilets amazingly clean as well as the sites themselves. The sound of the river made for great sleeping! Will stay here again when in the area.

Nice campground great foliage and a helpful host. Very well kept and the bathrooms were spotless. Quiet and relaxing. My only complaint would be that there is no potable water, save for an old pump that didn't work very well.

When booking this location it claimed there was water and our spot could fit up to 40' RV. When we arrived the spot was on a strong slant with trees above. It was difficult to fit our 30' RV without hitting trees and we had to position partially in the roadway to avoid trees and attempt to get as level as possible. The camp site itself had large pieces of wood scattered throughout the campsite which I had to move in order to park and walk on the path of our camp site. And then it claimed it had water, there was a hand pump, which no water came out. I attempted to reach out to the host 3 times driving to the site, but no one was there. I spoke to some other campers who informed me that the host is off the that day, which was Tues. and the next day and also the water pump had to be pumped at least 20 times before any water came out. No signs or information regarding the water, which is a pretty important feature when you were expecting water. After 2 hours of attempting to get water, park, level out and not be in the road we were unsuccessful and decided to leave. We went down the street and thank goodness were able to get into the Pagosa Campground, which was amazing. We camp at many state and national forest campgrounds and this one by far was not very well maintained and was very disappointing. Just wanted to let you know before you chose this spot what you were getting yourself into.

We love this campground! Our week stay was lovely with very quiet, dark night environment and clean bathrooms. Our site was lovely and accommodated a large tent and small camper trailer.

Very nice campground. Very quiet and peaceful. I was in site 23 and on the map it seemed that the river ran right behind it but it didn't. Had to cut behind another site to get down to it. But overall it was a good experience

The campground was neat and clean, obviously well kept. Dennis, the campground host, was informative, friendly, and accommodating. The campground was quiet and campsites seemed pretty private. We had Site 24, which was very private, being at the end of a small, quiet loop with access to a short, informal trail. Lots of big ponderosa pine, and white fir provide shade.

Been here twice now, and it is still as great as ever. If you need frills,(showers, flush toilets, etc) just don't come here. It's got the benefit of vault toilets, and a camp host to help folks out. This year's host was great, and only attentive of need be. If dispersed is more your style, you just keep going down 667 past this campground, and there is some of the most gorgeous dispersed sites with pretty easy access. Also, there are very very few short pad sites here. We saw large trailers in sites all week long, and they're pretty transparent about their photos on rec.gov so pay close attention if you have a towable. I recommend going even further and checking campsitephotos.com. Also, good luck if you book last minute...

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
