Chris Park Campground, Durango, CO

Chris Park Campground is located in the Columbine Ranger District of the San Juan National Forest (1 hr 32 min northeast of Farmington, NM) with an elevation of 7,858 feet. There are a total of 3 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to the end of September. 2 sites can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. 1 site has electric hookups. Fees range from $115.00 to $240.00.

Chris Park was wonderful. Super clean and everything in working order. The camp hosts were wonderful and accommodating.

Have been returning to site 3 for many years. The little kids have grown up here. Now they are all young adults. They learned to ride bikes, scooters, hover boards, and got to know many cousins and family members. Very important to have camp hosts that make the other camp sites adhere to the rules, so that we can feel safe and have our own privacy, which we have had very good experiences at Chris Park. Like everything else, the price for reservations there continues to increase.

We got married here! Rented the whole campground for the weekend and had a bunch of friends and family camp. The weather was great, although a little windy, but amazing area nice and secluded. The hosts are awesome and super helpful. Well always have the most amazing memories here! Awesome place for a big group or event.

Group campground site #3 is to kill for. It has a huge shelter and lots of picnic tables throughout the shelter.

Unfortunately the camp host permitted the group with a later reservation come in, stay, and even start setting up for their activities in our campground during our reservation period. We felt disrespected. We have stayed here yearly for many years. This is the first time that the campground and bathrooms especially were poorly cared for. We took it upon ourselves to clean. Otherwise, still a beautiful area with great facilities.

This place was built for a group event. It has everything you need. Electricity, clean pit toilets, covered pavilion, tons of parking and great tent camping too!!! Camp hosts are amazing. We got married here in September and it far exceeded our expectations. I want to have a wedding here every year!!!

Beautiful setting for a group. The vault toilets were kept extremely clean! Barbara, the camp host, was very friendly and helpful. She made us feel very welcome! There are some easy hikes right from the campground. Good location to see other attractions as well.

We had our wedding at Chris Park. It was a wonderful experience as we had family camping there two days before. Many spent time at the lake fishing and hiking. The alpine slide was a big hit and also the pizza and the School House. The fire pits were amazing and it was great that we could rent two of the spaces so everyone could join. The parking was great for the wedding.
