The camp hosts do an excellent job of preparing the sites between visitors. Bathroom were very clean.

This campsite far exceeded my expectations. The campsites were extremely well maintained, as were the bathrooms and facilities nearby. Each group of campsites had its own bathroom and water faucets which was very convenient. The site itself was very spacious. Even the food lockers were super clean.The hosts were very helpful and put a lot of intention behind keeping the grounds in great shape. I've never seen such diligent and kind hosts at any other campsite. The hike that is accessible through the camp was the best part of my stay-- a great view at the top! I was able to see plenty of stars at night. There is a breeze that goes over the camp that has a very soothing sound. Overall this is a great option for a nearby camping trip if you are looking to get out of LA.

Great place to camp. Beautiful and clean. Lots of hiking trails. Small lake near by. Big Bear about 30-40 minutes away. Cute small town.

We enjoyed Green Valley Campground. It was quiet and peaceful. We had a nice campsite and the bathroom was relatively clean. No showers. But it was not necessary for us since we only stayed on night. We slept in our small van and sat outside by the fire. You drive thru a small town on the way so you can pick some stuff up if you need it (we got ice). The camp host was helpful. No cell service really, but it was good since we wanted to unplug. I would recommend.

Lots of places for the kids to wander and hike. The lake was not open on weekdays so we did t get to swim.

this was my second trip to Green Valley and i absolutely enjoyed it! my first trip, i stayed at site 9. this time around i was on site 16. this site has way more flying bugs than i remember. i brought a canopy that had mesh sides and within minutes it was filled with bugs. i dont recall this happening before and it was the same canopy. either way, bugs are a part of camping and im not docking stars for that. i am giving site 16 4 stars cause i liked it but i do think the set up of the stove bear box and fire pit could have been better. will be coming back and trying another spot! the ones i really liked in person were 6, 9, 17, and 29.

The original two sites we reserved were overgrown with plants. The campground hosts called and let us know that and offered to hold two sites for our group. Those sites were perfect, near a restroom with running water. Overall a great experience, awesome camp hosts!

Nice camp hosts who kept the place quiet and clean all the time....emphasis on quiet especially during quiet hours.

Lots of "reserved" but vacant spots. No good hiking trails. Confusing dual enterances.

My wife has been coming here since she was young, and we have continued that tradition with our own kids. It is such a relief to see that this campground has kept its beauty over the years. We have experienced so many great hosts at this campground, but the current hosts have been amazing. They are very attentive to the experience campers go to the mountains for, and everything is super clean. Overall, one of our favorite places to visit every year, so much so that we typically come twice a summer.

I love this campsite! #4 is the best it is private your surrounded by shrubs so youre not seen from the road. The bathrooms are immaculate and the lake is so close you can walk there! Lots of fun stuff to do in and around the grounds. Judy the camp host is the best! she even gave me some butter cause I forgot to bring some for my pancakes!! Highly recommend this place for a nice getaway A+++

Site 8: 10/13-10/15/2023. Beautiful campground, very clean and well stocked restrooms, very clean campsite, raked and no trash, not even any "itsy-bitsys" as we called them in Scouts. Plenty of shade. Hosts were very nice and friendly. Firewood available for sale on site. Fantastic hiking right from camp. Will return again. Site 8 could have been a little flatter for a tent, but being from the Midwest where everything is flat, I'm a bit spoiled.

We had a wonderful weekend at Green Valley campground. I reserved camp site #4 for our weekend. Camp host was in the campground when we checked in late at night, she said we got the best spot in the entire campground, and she wasn't lying. I walked the entire campground the next morning, #4 is literally the best spot there.It was surrounded by right amount of stress, spacious, enough space for 2 big tents, secluded and cozy.

I love this campground! Our site was spectacular. The distance to the lake and the hiking provided within the campground made for an excellent trip.

A great little campground! We enjoyed site 5 with close proximity to the restroom and water, but we still felt like we had some privacy. The sweet camp hosts were thorough in cleaning and very helpful. The lady even tried to get our rain cover back on our tent while we were out when the inclement weather blew it off!

An easy drive from Los Angeles up to the campground! Easy check in and strict checkout when you leave. Spot 8 was flat and right next to a trail that was absolutely beautiful! The three of us really enjoyed our 2 night stay under the stars nestled between other families. Bathrooms are close to every campsite with a running water tap near as well. The best part is the green valley lake that is a 20 minute walk from our tent. We swam to the dock and spent the afternoon cooling off. I would recommend GVC to any family of any age. There are hikes and scenery lookouts that you have to find for yourself as well. Big Bear is beautiful beyond words.

A gem in the San Bernardino National Forest, with gorgeous sites and beautiful hiking trails.

This campground and bathrooms are clean! The hosts, Ed and Judy were wonderful. Attentive, outgoing, but not intrusive. Campground has two loops, both very well shaded. Ample space between sites. Campground is a mile from Green Valley Lake, and about half an hour from Big Bear. Well be back!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
