This site's right across from the showers and restroom and also adequately private aswell

The staff, cleanliness, convenience (shower and bathroom across the street) were 5 stars. The bees, however, made it IMPOSSIBLE to hang out near the tables. It was a miserable experience to say the least

Staff was very friendly, camp sites were cleaned when vacant and facilities were cleaned daily. They had events going on for the whole facility to enjoy. My favorite feature was the grill on the campfire since we had a grill with no propane and plenty of coal and wood. Definitely will return soon.

Unfortunately, there were too many yellow jackets to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner, as they were active throughout the morning, afternoon, and early evening for the entire trip. While the campsite itself was nice, a heads-up about the issue would have made a big difference. The ranger mentioned the problem to us at check-in, but it didn't improve our experience.On a positive note, we always appreciate how clean the showers, restrooms, and campsites are. We're grateful for how well the camp is maintained. Thanks!Beware of raccoons!

Nice and shady area. Friendly environment. No cell signal in our site 88. Lots of bees when we got there was hard to cook and eat.

Showed up right at check in time at the booth and was told by the clerk we got some meat wasps so just leave some food away from you yet when we showed up to our spot at 18, I wouldnt call them meat wasps but just wasps everywhere, there has to be a issue there because there were hundreds to thousands of them everywhere, we couldnt eat or walk around without them landing on us or stinging us. If I would have known they allow this problem to get out of hand I would have just cancelled but since I booked it online there was no option for me to get a refund. The site 18 itself is nice with a path down to a table and fire pit , but with these wasps everywhere there was no fly in sight. The money they get to run the campground they could at least hire a pest control to try and lower the wasps nests all around the campground. Last time i come here which is a shame.

We camp at Dogwood every year. The entire campground is very clean, nice bathrooms and free showers. The camp hosts were great. The camp hosts Karen, Peter and Heather were very friendly and helped with any issues we had.

Dogwood is one of our favorite campgrounds. It is super clean, the bathrooms are in great order and the campsites are nicely spaced. Also, very good crew running the park.

This is such a sweet spot to camp! I almost hate to publicize it. The drive is not too far from metro areas or Lake Arrowhead (go for dinner or supplies) but the campground is tucked back into a wooded area and most of the spots have shade and plenty of space between other sites. You can even access hiking trails from some campsites. The hosts are helpful and informative, the campsites, bathrooms and facilities are kept very clean. And did I mention there are hot showers?!

The Campground and surrounding forest are beautiful. I was in site 63 on the Fir Loop. Unfortunately, very loud campers in 2 other campsites on the Fir Loop, until after 1am+ during my stay. and FYI site 63 is right across from the bathrooms, very open, sunny on 2 sides and people like to walk through the campsite to use the bathrooms. I'm going for site 72 a little further up and more private, next stay.

We loved Dogwood campground. Our first time and we really liked it. The sites are spaced out.The public restrooms and showers are clean and they have a hot shower. Definitely we'll come back.

We did our first camping at dogwood camp grounds. When we arrived at the sites Heather greeted us with beautiful smile and guide us what to expect and have fun experience. Our sites was number 33 was very clean, close to restroom with hot water. Camp ground have very nice nature trails highly recommend. When we were leaving one of team member forgot to ask her name was very sweet and ask us if everything went well. We had an amazing experience at this camp site Thank you to Emily and her entire team who work hard for people like us to visit the camp ground and enjoy nature. Our experience was great of camping and will book again soon.

We have stayed in spot 77 and 79 several times. They both have long parking pads that accommodated our tent trailer (16 feet closed and 23 feet open) and our truck. Spot 77 has a moderate down slope to it towards the end of the pad so getting level takes some creativity. The spots have plenty of shade and are easy to back in to. They can each accommodate about 2 medium/large size tents. The closest water spigot is at the bathroom about 30 feet down from the campsite. The camp hosts were exceptionally welcoming and helpful!

Stayed two nights at Dogwood #22. Great experience- lots of trees and shade. Hookups, table, firepit. Flush toilets and free showers with hot water! Not too crowded- lots of space between campsites. A few yellowjackets, but not a problem.The staff was great, and kept the place clean and well serviced. Pete and Karen, in particular, were charming and very helpful on several fronts. And the price is right, particularly for those with a senior pass! We're coming back soon!

We were in a great spot! Really big space to set up and had an electrical outlet. Not that close yet close to the bathroom and showers. Would love to go back to this same spot.

Campsite #33 has a big, flat area that is great for setting up a tent and has lots of shade. The parking space fits only one car, and theres a small slope from the parking area to the campsite, so loading and unloading can be a bit of a hike. Privacy is a bit less since its close to Campsites #85 and #84, which is perfect if youre camping with friends. Water is conveniently just across the street, and the next site has water too. The restroom with a hot shower is diagonally across from the tent area, and the hot water is a nice bonus. This site is good if you bring pets, with plenty of room for them to roam. Watch out for yellow jackets and flies. Definitely coming back to Dogwood.

This site is directly in front of the bathroom. There isnt any privacy, but its excellent for small children or people that have to use the restroom often. Bathrooms are cleaned out often and always had toilet paper. I booked sites 10 & 11 because on the map they showed to be next to each other. However, they are not and instead they are across from each other and site 11 is across the street and directly in front of the restroom with much less privacy. My family ended up sleeping at site 10 for privacy and my other friends on this site. People are constantly walking through the site to go to the restroom. Theres a walking path right through it. You basically share the space with 3 other sites and can see everyone, there is no privacy at all whatsoever at this site. The picnic bench is big.We did experience the yellow tail bees, but only when meat was out. Any other food they dont come out, but the minute you have meat, they are all over you. The showers are not in the restrooms in front of this site, they are a bit further down and you can easily walk or take your car. Theres parking space if you want to drive there. The showers are free with cold and hot water. The staff is super friendly and come around selling wood so it was very helpful. Theres a market Jensen nearby, but Strater Bros in Lake arrowhead is much cheaper and still very close. We went to Lake Gregory on Saturday and Im glad I read to book tickets ahead of time because there was a line to go in and it was sold out so many people got turned away. We parked at the south shore parking lot of the lake, it had plenty of parking. We went for ice cream at the market across of the lake. Bought ourselves some chocolate truffles too.

I like the privacy of this site. I dont like the little slope there is to get to your car or to go to the restroom. Lots of up and down when packing and unpacking. The site is spacey with about 2 flat areas for a tent. We have a big 10 people tent and our friends had a smaller one. We found 2 flat spots for them. The bathroom is conveniently across from us. I booked sites 10 & 11 because on the map they showed to be next to each other. However, they are not and instead they are across from each other and site 11 is across the street and directly in front of the restroom with much less privacy. I should have booked site 9, which is next to this site, yet not so close and we still had our privacy which was great. Our friends from site 11 slept in that site, but hung out at ours because of the more secluded and private space. The picnic bench is big, we took 2 more tables and still had plenty of space.We did experience the yellow tail bees, but only when meat was out. Any other food they dont come out, but the minute you have meat, they are all over you. I dont know if they bite, but we didnt get bitten. Do prepare for mosquitoes so take candles or repellant. The showers are not in the restrooms in front of this site, they are a bit further down and you can easily walk or take your car. Theres parking space if you want to drive there. The showers are free with cold and hot water. The staff is super friendly and come around selling wood so it was very helpful. Beautiful camp ground with large sites and lots of trees. Clean bathrooms and warm showers were a bonus. We will definitely be going back!

Lots of yellow jackets, got stung by one on the leg while cooking. No traps setup anywhere on this site. Other than that site was spacious and felt secluded from other campers.
@DianeW5694247 · Camped on Jul 29, 2024 at Campsite #16
Our site, #16 was easy to back in to, fairly level and very peaceful. The RV sites are a bit narrow but they all appear to have large outdoor areas with a fire pit and picnic table. My only issue is the treacherous point of entry/exit into this park. It is a blind corner and traffic from the busy highway makes this turn at speed, with little concern over the campground road. This made entering and especially leaving the campground very concerning and dangerous.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
