Clean bathrooms, nice river spot, campsites with enough space in between.

The camp Host was available, helpful, and informative. I would give it 5 stars, but our picnic table was super low to the ground and covered in spiderwebs underneath, so we didn't use it, which was a hassle. It looks as though they are redoing the tables, but perhaps they haven't gotten to site four yet. But you can't beat the view and sounds of the river, so it made up for it. There was a problem with the water at the entire campground on the last night and morning of our visit. But again, the camp host did everything he could to be informative and accommodating, letting us know we could still get water at the main pump. so I really can't complain; I understand that things happen. The bathrooms were clean and had flushing toilets, which was a plus.

We were the only campers there, which meant it was nice and quiet, and we had a beautiful night to enjoy the stars and the view from the parking lot. We were surprised when we arrived to learn that the campground was essentially just a parking lot, but we had the best spot possible.

The sites are well maintained, the host is very kind, and overall made for a great experience for my kids, friends, and I. I look forward to making a return trip in time.

This is a tiny, but really pretty campground. Unfortunately, the camp host was nowhere to be found for our entire stay. The bathrooms were disgusting and hadn't been cleaned in a long time. There was absolutely no toilet paper in the women's bathroom and as the camp host was not present, I couldn't even let them know. There was also trash in our campsite, as well as dog poop. So sad because the location is really beautiful.

Great visit. I've been there many times in the past. The park host, Phil, is the best one yet. He stays 'on top of things'. He cares about the overall condition of the campground, and the guests staying there. If there is an issue, he will take care of it. I plan on staying there many more times in the future.

Easy to find, small facility with camp sites scattered to provide ample privacy. On the River and a good starting point for day explorations. Very friendly and attentive Host, Phil, who really takes pride in his work. The bathroom is well stocked and clean! We all enjoyed our stay very much and will retrurn.

Overall pretty great. The facilities are well maintained and the host was super helpful. Our neighbors the first day shared their entire life with the whole campground but that's the nature of established campgrounds. I think we were in #8 which has a great tent spot overlooking the river. We were van camping so couldn't take full advantage but a good spot nonetheless. Pretty shaded most of the day if I recall. River access is easy and suitable for kids. You'll want to keep an eye on littles though of course. It's definitely a beautiful spot along the Applegate.

Beautiful setting, clean, quiet, extremely well-run campground right on the river. We really enjoyed chatting with our camp host Phil, who was friendly, professional and 100% on top of everything. Plan to return in the future.

Sites were nice, right by the river. Camp host was amazing. Definitely would camp here again

This is a quaint little campground that is perfect for a little get away. The sites are small but accommodating, with a fire pit and campground charcoal grill. Rest rooms are a short jot up the hill with flushing toilets and running water. There is a nice swimming hole just a hop, skip, and jump away. There is a hiking trail that takes you up river where there are plenty of fishing holes. I would recommend bringing your bug spray because the mosquitoes come out around dusk. Our favorite time to camp here is spring or fall. Looking forward to our next trip.

Beautiful, quiet campground right on the river. Hosts were very welcoming.

Wonderful small campground next to the Applegate River. About half the sites have views of the river, but there are nice, easy to follow river paths available to all. I found the host to be pleasant and very helpful.

Easily accessible campground. Picnic tables and campground road are somewhat tired. Few vehicles on the roads, quiet. Wooded setting close enough to Applegate River to hear soothing riffles. Very nice bathroom: clean, spacious, overhead heat. Some trails that petered out.

We stayed at the group site 1 for the 4th July weekend for three nights. This was a great campsite for our group. The location was great, by the river so we could just hop into the river for water activities. The bathrooms were kept clean. The camp host, Phil was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our time here. We will be back again in the future.

The new camp host, Phil is doing such a great job of keeping the place nice! Bathrooms were mopped and stocked, they even had soap for the first time in years! Makes a huge difference to have someone that takes the time to not just welcome everyone but make the place welcoming as well!

Such a cute small very clean camp ground! I would highly recommend checking it out. Phil the camp host could not be more amazing! Best host I've had in a camp ground so far!

All of my issues could have been solved with a map online. Booked the group site for 2 cars and 3 people. Turns out the group site doesn’t have it’s own parking spaces, it’s just the day use parking lot. The site itself looked nice, but my group all camps out of our vehicles. So essentially I paid for a really expensive parking spot on a lot. There was nice riverfront access with picnic tables on the bank. The whole river had a brown film and odor when we were there in November. There was full service for AT&T and Sprint, so that was nice. It is less than 10 minutes to Applegate Reservoir. It’s ridiculous that there is no map of the sites. Even at the campground there was no map.

The river was beautiful. My kids (5-16) had a lot of fun playing in both the shallow, rocky areas and the deep swimming holes. The campsites were a little small and open feeling. The flushing toilets and sinks in the bathroom were nice. One drawback was a big rusty pole right next to our table. Our daughter ran into it and cut herself pretty badly. The trash can was also sharp and rusty, and there were several large holes right around the campsite. The picnic table was also very crooked, which made it hard to sit and cook. We had a great time though, and will probably go there again.

Spot #2 is the best in this small, quiet campground. It is just above the river, with a trail down to a spot that isn't used by Day Use visitors. It's gorgeous out there. The camp host was personable. We will definitely camp here again.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
