The only bad thing about this site is the location for the tent. It was on a slope. When we would get into our sleeping bags, we would slide down. Other than that it was the perfect size for a small group.

Had never heard of White Spar but it was very good. So close to Prescott Whiskey Row and so put in the country too. We had our Side by Side and we found nice Forrest off roading close. Young lady camp hostess Macie went above and beyond to help us find a spit that was inaccurate from rec.gov website. Very good 4 days will go back.

FILTHY RESTROOMS!!! We have camped at a lot of pit toilet campsites over the past few years and are almost universally pleased with how well they are maintained and how well they function. These pit toilets were the worst we have ever seen and had no sign of ever being cleaned. Bring your own cleaning supplies and be prepared to spend a few minutes cleaning off dried human waste so that you are not sitting on dried you know what. The large black trash bags left inside for unknown reason possibly attracted the mouse that ran past me when I opened the door. Campsite #30 itself was OK but had a 90 degree drive in angle which made backing in a small pop up camper more difficult than normal.

Went there for an overnight, it was really nice and relaxing! Good amount of space between each campsite! Will definitely be going back!

It was nice, only setback was that you can hear vehicles drive by

Excellent experience, great host. The site is close to the city, not wild enough ;)

The campground host was not present for our weekend, toilet paper ran out at the bathroom near our site and the bathrooms were not kept clean.
@CaraleeL605203 · Camped on Jul 11, 2024 at Campsite #12
I truly love this campground, but until the "volunteers" decide that cleaning the bathrooms and picking up trash are a necessity I cant give them a better review. The bathroom when you first come in smelled so bad that it made me sick to my stomach. And the dried on pee all over the seat is inexcusable. As well, there's too much shade in most of the campsites. If you have solar you had better look before you reserve a site. The phone service there is awful. You can send a text, but good luck with anything that uses data. No weather, emails, or anything that people generally do. And the road noise there is awful. You will hear it all day and night - stupid motor bikes roaring thoughtlessly by, big trucks, and the lovely folks who think its cool to have a screaming diesel nightmare. What I love is its beauty. But with all of the other factors, the experience reminds me of being in the city - without internet.

Last week we stayed one night in a tent. The scenery was beautiful!! Camp was good. No flushing toilet. The smell will absolutely make you throw up. You can smell it from the camp site. I guess thats what ya get in the woods. Tbh, its over priced scenery.

Several sites are very short and hard to get into with a trailer
@QuinnBEF5AEF1B · Camped on Jun 24, 2024 at Campsite #14
Campsite was well-marked and the bathrooms were clean as far as pit toilets go. Distance from town was nice.

The bathroom by my site was disgusting. The smell is so bad. Someone peed in the corner and staff left it there. Worse bathroom out of all of the campgrounds in Prescott.If you are relying on solar, good luck. I've stayed in 4 different spots here and they are far too shaded to have a smooth and productive solar day. There are a couple of spots that are good, but good luck getting them. And the reservation website isn't helpful at all to assess how much sun you will get.I don't hate it here. The tall pines are beautiful! Plenty of birds and small critters. For the size of the place it's fairly quiet. And the water tastes good. Unlike Lynx Campground!!!Be aware this is bear territory.Verizon is hit or miss here. Definately not fast!!!

The sites are well spaced and offer much privacy. Unfortunately there are only a few sites for big rigs. But we will come back!

Facilities are lacking and dirty. There is no water for trailer nor any other hook ups. Beautiful location though.
@MarkS8760847 · Camped on May 9, 2024 at Campsite #30
Campsites are a little tight to back in camper trailers but we managed. Lots of hiking and mountain biking opportunities. During our 4 nights there was significant turnover of other campers but it was a relatively quiet campground.

Campground was beautiful, quiet and very well maintained
@DarleenS101DC1 · Camped on May 9, 2024 at Campsite #10
Beautiful weather, lots of good hiking trails. Sites are nice and private. Camp host not around, had to put out large campfire at vacant campsite with the help of another camper.
@DanH6147433 · Camped on May 9, 2024 at Campsite #9
White Spar is an underappreciated gem. The location is fantastic for multiple hiking & biking trails, yet only 2 miles from Courthouse Square.
@LarryO5065046 · Camped on May 8, 2024 at Campsite #43
Our reserved spot #43 was closed when we arrived but the Camp host was very helpful in putting us in another spot. We have stayed there few times now and campground is always nice

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
