We have been camping here almost 40 years. The pavement at many of the sites need repair and the fire pits need to be cleaned and fixed. At one site we stayed at, the pit wasnt completely on the ground and at the other site, the sides of the pit were only about 1inch above ground. Both are fire hazards.

Right next to the water, perfect place to setup and enjoy the lake!

The camp hosts at Antelope Long Point campground were wonderful. They are doing an amazing job, are very personable and are keeping the property clean and tidy, the bathrooms were clean. They asked for suggestions and improvements. Overall, the atmosphere in in campground was petty low-key and the campers were for the most part on the quiet side. No loud parties. A great place for families. Everyone honored the quite time set. We had no complaints. One of the highlights of our stay was an impromptu 4th of July parade headed up by one of the camps. Our grandchildren loved it. People were catching fish. There appeared to be more non-motorized vs motorized activity on the water at our end of the lake.We had a fun stay and look forward to going back.

Great, quiet place to bring the family. Camp hosts were friendly and very helpful. Restrooms were clean and stocked. Just wish forest service would use some of our camp fees to do some much needed maintenance and repairs.

Camp area reasonably clean, potable water available, toilets cleaned regularly, waste dumpster not full.

The lake and natural resources are beautiful. The campgrounds are good still, but have really begun to show their wear and neglect the past few years (roads, sites, facilities). Closing the dump station and camp stores a few years ago are and have been very detrimental to the campground. Previous management was far superior than current management...and it shows. Long Point had no camp host for the last week and a half, also not good in my opinion, even though the campground was not full. With such a great resource, it is a shame that more isn't being done to make it a more attractive and more functional destination. Even several years of bad wildfires has not significantly detracted from the place, but it is not the campground it was 10 or 20 years ago. Hopefully, better management will come on board for future years.

Clean, well-managed campground. Friendly and helpful camp host. Lakefront sites are large. Because of its remoteness, it would help to have the camp store reopen for the season.

We stayed in campsite #4. It was absolutely beautiful. The camp host David and Jane were just super. Very friendly and helpful. They kept the camp sites clean and the restrooms were spotless! We would recommend this camp ground any time! Thank you David and Jane for making our trip great! We will be back!

Clean campground, amazing lake access and the hosts kept the bathrooms clean everyday. Campsites 26 and 29 are amazing and beach access.

Great campground, hosts we're friendly and kept the place really nice. One star off for how many aggressive dogs were off leash and in other camp sites.
@TimothySE6DEBB · Camped on Jul 14, 2023 at Campsite #8
The campgrounds and access to the lake were very nice. Bathrooms were not well kept, and wild parties all night with no one from the camp host stopping the disruption. Unknown if well return as of now.

The site amenities were good. There was drinking water and clean restrooms. Host was nice and polite.

Overall a great experience. However….. - had a double campsite but there was only one table. We had this same site last year and had the same problem. The second table had been moved off to the site and wrapped in caution tape. - no potable water. This should have been posted on the campground website. We had to backtrack 20 miles to get water. This should have been piston campground website. - no campground store despite it being posted on the website. The campground host said the lady that runs the store didn’t make any money last year and would not open this year. Very disappointed. - the handicapped access out to the point is in terrible condition. We have watched it degenerate over the years. Such a shame to have this once wonderful feature go neglected and become unusable.

The campground is on Antelope Lake which is one of the most beautiful Lakes I have been too. The campsites are big and tents are recommended, even small trailers don't fit very well.

No water for 3 days and no trash cans the entire 9 days we were there. Had to pack out. Not impressed with Plumas Outdoors even after pushing our reservation back 5 days. Hosts were not provided with tools to do their job.

We were camping with friends in a double space next to us. The picnic tables are in very poor shape. One of the two tables in space 17-18 is missing half the top and the other one is very warped. It was difficult for us to gather to eat together. The fire pit in 17-18 is missing the handle and needs to be re-seated in the ground.

The Camp was amazing! Only thing was there were tons of yellow jackets trying to eat our food while cooking. Obviously they were there first so next time we will bring something to cook under. But will be back for sure gorgeous lake!! Very nice camp!

Beautiful area! The lake is amazing. Great to swim in. Bring some form of water recreation to enjoy it even more. The campsites are big. Note there is no cell phone service. Need to drive close to half an hour to get.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
