Site was well maintained. The restrooms were exceptionally clean, especially considering we arrived on Monday afternoon of the Labor Day weekend. The only criticism I have is the use of gasoline leaf blowers by the camp host. I know the host works hard to keep the campsites in good order, and it really shows here, so this is not a criticism of the host at all. Gas leaf blowers have been band in many cities because they are so annoying. The last place you expect to have to put up with a couple hours of that racket is at a National Forest campground!Whomever decided gas leaf blowers would be a good idea for use in a National Forest campground really lacks even a rudimentary understand of what wilderness camping is all about. Thank you to the host for doing a great job, but time to retire the leaf blowers!

This campsite is super close to the lake with beach access. It says there are no bear lockers but there are! Lots of chipmunks and yellowjackets that want your food. It was a pretty crowded campsite but was pretty quiet after 11pm. Camp host was not attentive, barely saw him or her. Very nice lake to swim and recreate at.

The campground is beautiful. We got a spot overlooking the water. It was easy to get down to the water to play. It was bustling, but it didn't feel crowded because there was a lot of space between sites in the area of the camp that we were in. I don't know if all of the sites are like that. I would come back to camp here again.A sign was posted above the toilet that people should not throw trash into the toilet because it's difficult to remove, which makes sense, but there were no trash cans inside or just outside of the bathroom. People needed to carry their trash from the bathroom back to their campsite or find a dumpster on their way back to their campsite. I think it would be a good idea to put trash cans in the bathroom to help encourage people to stop putting trash in the vault toilets. We were closest to the bathrooms closest to the entrance. Maybe other bathrooms had trash cans.

The place has a beauty like no other, truly special, especially with the animal ecosystem. Although make sure you book the right site otherwise youre stuck in the sun, or bring a camper van! Also fyi some fees need to be paid cash on site - a little inconvenient!

We were on a steep hill but every time we come there we have a lot of fun. Bathrooms were clean most of the time so thats a plus. Will definitely camp there again!!!

We had our first family weekend camp out ever at Spring Creek last weekend. Our spots #7,8,and 9 were excellent. We had a beautiful view of the lake through the trees and enough room for everyone. The restroom was clean and close by. The downside was that there was no potable water available until the day we left. Also, the camp host seemed very irritated when she came around at 8pm to collect for our extra vehicles. We had all arrived by 6pm but she complained that she hated working at night. The next day we were informed by a park volunteer that we needed to cover our drink coolers. We were happy to comply but he also was very gruff and kept repeating stories of bears in other campgrounds. In summary, we were happy with the sites but the staff there seemed very angry.

Nice camp site, all things considered. The fire in 2021 is visible, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Site 22 has some serious downsides. Please note the "Shade: Full" for that site is a complete lie. There's barely any shade there between 9AM until 7:30PM in July. There might have been more before, but it's been a while since the fire that went through the campground and around so an update to the site description is due. The 2 vehicles are indeed able to fit on the parking pad, the second vehicle costs additional $8 a night though. The rate is nowhere to be found outside of camping (it is posted at the entrance though). Site 22 is also lacking flat spots suitable for more/bigger tents (and it's "rated" for 8 people). There's one that can barely fit a 6-people right next to parking pad, but that's about it. Even the table/fire area has a slight slope to it. There's also a pump building about 70ft from the campsite that is loud when running. If it's running late in the evening - go to the host to stop it. On the upside - the toilets are cleaned and resupplied daily, the water faucet is close and the lake is 3 minutes downhill. Even though your neighbors seem to be close we never heard anyone.

The camp host was very helpful and personal help me with my issues that I had keep them around and give him a bounce for what he does for you and the campers.

I have to commend the campground host(s) at Spring Creek Campground! We stayed there the Monday after July 4th Weekend. One would expect the place would’ve been a mess, due to the extremely high volume of campers and their respective vehicles packed in the campground like sardines. I only say this because that’s what we heard from campers that stayed there over the Independence Day Weekend. However, the campground and proximity around the area we’re absolutely spotless. The restroom facilities were clean and aromatically fresh. Our name was on signage stating the site was reserved and it was nice that this was all done in advance of the reservation.

First, the site we booked unseen was awful, and we also encountered an animal abuser, all of which made that site unstayable. We contacted the camp host at Big Cove, who was single-handedly dealing with all 3 campgrounds at once. She was absolutely amazing to us and made our stay right. I want to say a big thank you to her! The Frenchman’s Lake area suffered a fire last year, and the scars are still very present, but this lake is very beautiful, restrooms were clean, sites were clean, and we enjoyed our stay once sorted out.

There is evidence of the fire in the area, but the campground is still pretty. We were in the second loop and a generator that provides water pressure for the campground ran most of our second day there and all night until someone turned it off the next morning.

MIdweek so peacefiul. Camp host is wonderful. Campground clean, people friendly. Unfortunately, the water is getting low, but can't do anything about that...still a nice time.

We have gone to spring creek for over a decade. This year the bathrooms haven’t been the cleanest and smell if you are camped by them so hopefully they fix that issue. Spring creek is the closest campground to the water at Frenchman’s and there’s lots of walking trails nearby. The beach is muddy compared to big cove, however it makes for some good crawdad trapping area.

The camp host kept the camp ground very clean, the bathroom is cleaned all the time. We could walk down to the lake and launch our inflatable boat. There is no shower, according to the website, you could pick the wood for firewood, so it was nice. Will come back.

Spring Creek Memorial Day weekend was beautiful. The grounds and restrooms are clean and the place wasn't packed. The views from the sites are all pretty and we enjoyed our stay.

Super clean, perfect setting. Camp hostess Joanne was wonderful! Brought 6 preschool through kindergarten children for 3 days, and they had a blast. Deer roaming through campsites every day. Super peaceful. Caught several huge trout right off campsite. Trees all the way up to the water.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
