Overall a good experience. Sites are on river right. Sign is very small, look for brown sign, "AL". The camp sites are large with a fire pan and grill grate. No benches or tables. The camping area is up the river bank, 15 or so stairs to reach. Sites are difficult to identify. Three separate groups of campers including myself arrived at the same time and none of us could tell whose site was whose. Delaware water gap and the surrounding area is one of my favorite places to spend outdoors. Pristine nature. crystal clear water. If you can't get a site at this campground, look for one of the zone camping sites along the river. Do what you got to do to get on this river!!

The porta-potties at the campsite were not clean at all. The campsites themselves did not have a picnic table, which was unexpected. It was very difficult to find from the river - one entrance had no signs and was blocked by fallen trees. The other entrance had no trees but also no signs. We needed the help of a passing park ranger to identify our sites. After we made camp, we helped another camper find their site.

We never saw any signs for this campground luckily a ranger pointed us to the put-out for A6-A8. The put-out for A2-A4 was blocked by fallen trees (maybe the trees also took out the sign?). The portapotties werent bad. The other campers were quiet and respectful.

Good sites and reservable. Makes it nice to be able to leisurely canoe down to your site knowing you have one waiting. Wish all were this way instead of the Zone set up they are trying to implement.

Tough to see the sign until you are on top of it, but great campsites for a river trip.

Booked R1 Campsite for Friday the 21st of May. Had a late put-in because of the coordinates provided, which turned out to be wrong and the real campsite is 3.5 miles downriver (roughly another hour+ of paddling). If we had put in any later, we’d have been paddling in the dark. We saw no obvious brown sign to indicate the campsites, and there were no bathrooms or porta-potties as expected (because it was in the description). Campsite itself was great; very spacious with a nice grated fire ring. Lots of wildlife around. Leaving 2 stars because of the incorrect coordinates (which I copy and pasted from this website) and because of the lack of bathrooms, which was stated.

The campsites were large and level. Very peaceful location. Was lulled to sleep by sounds of some nearby rapids. This is a great spot on the river.

These sites are wonderful but the experience varies dramatically depending on the kind of experience the folks in adjacent sites are having. Which is to say, there may be groups nearby who plan to get drunk and listen to loud music, and without cell service the parks dept isn’t able to enforce the rules in any way. I’ve had wonderful and awful experiences on different dates.

Great locations and easy to find along the River. I wish they were a little more spread out. It did feel as though we were right on top of other campers. Amenities were fabulous

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
