The campground was easy to get to and our tent site was very pleasant. No complaints except the bathroom was a bit gross tho not really dirty and the hand dryer was broken. A short trek to the lakeside and the view was pretty. We didn't see the 'beach' for swimming until we were on our way out. We hadn't seen any signs to direct us there.We knew it was going to rain but the predicted light rain turned into a downpour so we left early and lost our reservation money-oh well. We definitely plan to go again when good weather returns.

Location is beautiful and campground overall is very good. Easy access to the lake. Flush toilet restroom seems old and run-down (moldy smell) plus it ran out of toilet paper when we were there.

Beautiful campsite, maybe best on the grounds. Spacious; Quiet (surely this depends on your neighbors at the time); clean; trailhead immediately adjacent. There are stairs down to site (as pictured on this webpage), so not accessible, and last stair was double height watch out! both of us nearly biffed on this. The bathrooms were basic, a bit run down, but adequate. All in all very satisfied.

We stayed in Site 12 and it was lovely. 90 second walk (with our toddler, no less) to the lush, mossy, hiking trail (with waterfall and bridge right at the beginning, much to his delight!), and a few steps further to the smooth-pebbled beach , where we enjoyed hours of relaxation and play time. The campground is small and being situation on a slope allows for a great deal of privacy. The bathrooms are convenient and the potable water tap is also easy to access. Some sites looked like they'd be too small for our massive 6-person Wonderland tent but site 12 wasn't. The nearby hiking trails, lodge, and World's Largest Sitka Spruce were big hits to drive to too. I had practically zero cell service with my AT&T-supported iPhone most places on the campground, but peculiarly my spouse with his AT&T- supported Samsung had occasional bars. I would give this 5 stars even despite the absolutely horrible mosquitoes at our camp site (they weren't bad by the lake though!), but the extremely noisy speed boats on Lake Quinault each day we were there made literally even talking to each other difficult; I've reached out to the forest service to see if they knew if there was an event happening that weekend or something that made this truly oppressive and cacophonous interference a one-time thing. We will not revisit this campground if the speed boats are a typical occurrence.

This was the best campground/site Ive ever stayed at. Very clean and well kept. The only downside was the restroom location being at the end of the campground and the other restroom on the upper half of the ground being out of service. We really lucked out with weather as a local shop employee informed us of poor weather up until the day we arrived. The grounds are beautiful, the lake was much warmer than I was expecting (warm enough to swim in if youre acclimated to the PNW), and so much to explore! When it was time to pack up and head out, we were sad to leave and wished we booked more than 3 days for our trip. We will absolutely be returning for more fun next summer!

Such a beautiful little campground! The spots are decently spaced and everyone was respectful of quiet hours. We saw a lovely sunset and incredible fog over the lake in the morning.

This is a fantastic campground: beautiful and well-cared for, the lake is gorgeous. Perfectly clean bathrooms and easy access to trash and water facilities. My only note is that this campsite is located directly across from the bathrooms, so you can see the lights from the bathrooms and hear the surprisingly loud hand dryers. The dryers are less of an issue as the night goes on; the lights never go off.

The campsite was nice and clean. In addition, the bathroom was clean.

Willaby campground just reopened after being closed for the last year due to hazardous trees. We got campsite number 9 for the 4th of July and it was great! The vegetation has definitely obstructed some of the view we saw online but it was still lovely. Plenty of shade during the day and easy access to the beach for a swim was amazing. Only one of the bathrooms is open. The first night the sink was broken and had to be held up by a stick to stop water from continuously running and there was no soap or a light in the bathroom. A couple of days later all of those things were fixed but the hand dryer is out of order and looks like it has been for a long time. The walls were moldy. I don’t think the bathrooms were cleaned while we were there but they did restock the toilet paper. There was a sign up saying the camp host was in falls creek campground. I know they just reopened (and earlier than originally announced for the 4th so maybe they haven’t fully staffed it yet). Having a bathroom with flush toilets and running water was a luxury so no complaints! Just recent reviews aren’t entirely accurate regarding the cleanliness. There’s no firewood for purchase onsite so visit the nearby quinault mercantile for $6.75/ bundle or stop at one of the places along the roadside on your way out for $5 a bundle. Overall a lovely campground with decent privacy between sites and swimming in lake Quinault was fabulous. We’d definitely come back.

Lovely location. Bring drinking water and use the upper bathrooms. Watercraft inspection is much easier at rainforest lodge.

We drove up to a stunning view of Lake Quinalt on the edge of our campsite. We were able to fit 2 small tents on our site. It was perfect. The restroom faculty was located in a close proximity to the all the campsites. There was plenty of driftwood from downed trees for firewood. We could not have asked for a more beautiful area to camp for the night! There were trails right off the campsite and a mercantile store a short driving distance away. All in all it exceeded our expectations and I would definitely recommend it!

nice, quiet campground with several waterfront campsites. Nice little day use area with beach/boat ramp access. Great hiking trails to choose from. One of our favorite campgrounds.

We camped in #20. It was great! Very quiet and private. And close to the restrooms. The only negative thing was that hand dryer in the restroom on the right did not work. However, we always have hand towels, so it was not a problem. It was overall a terrific experience!

Beautiful campground on Lake Quinault in old growth forest. Upper restrooms are new.

Nice campground on Lake Quinault. Sites are “tent only” but there were a few that could fit small trailers, vans, or RVs. It’s pretty tight though. Water available and flush toilets.

Campsite #17 was serene and tucked away. Surrounded by dense rainforest. Creek nearby. Nice pad for the tent. Good parking. Ample room for us and 2 dogs. Bathrooms were clean and in decent shape. Nice walking path along the lake.

This was one of the most clean campgrounds i have ever visited! It was so beautiful i was like 2 mins away from the restrooms and about 5 from the lake which was stunning to witness those mountains and that lake. About a 2 min drive from the famous lodge and the tallest tree amongst a certain species. So stunning i would camp here again to be honest it was about a hour to Olympic National Park Hoh rainforest

A small rocky beach perfect for sunset is accessible from the campground. Flush toilets available. The bathroom closest to S Shore Rd was closed during my visit in September 2021. I enjoyed hiking the Quinault Loop Trail which went right through the campground.
@WilliamT131 · Camped on Sep 15, 2021 at Campsite #10
Beautiful site with thoughtfully placed tent spots. Handy to the rainforest trail and the lake. I'll be back.
@DonJ877 · Camped on Sep 9, 2021 at Campsite #14
Nice, small campground right on the lake, but road traffic can be fairly loud since campsites are all on a one way loop. There are also a lot of hikers passing though looking for directions. But still the boat launch parking lot is a good place to kayak from, and the Rain Forest trail is great, especially the first section between the campground and the main road.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
