Nason Creek Campground, Leavenworth, WA

Nason Creek Campground is located in the Wenatchee River Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest (51 min northwest of Wenatchee, WA) with an elevation of 1,899 feet. There are a total of 69 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid May to the beginning of October. 41 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 35 feet. All sites are currently reservable. There is a fee of $24.00 per night.

Road traffic noises very loud during the day and not as bad at night. Some yellow jackets at the site that were pesky. Other than that nice facilities with access to the river and very close to the beautiful Lake Wenatchee.

What a wonderful campground! The two sites we had were quite large and along the river. The hosts P+L were delightful. The kids loved interacting with them. The bathrooms were always clean and the sites were well kept. I loved this campground because the loops were on the smaller side which made for great short loops for the kids to ride bikes all day. We will definitely be returning!

One of the best cared for campgrounds by the host of any Forest service campground we've ever been to. Great campground all sites are paved and many are right along the creek. This is the second time we've stayed at this campground in the last 2 years and we will probably be doing it again

The creek was beautiful and perfect. The sites along the main road were much noisier than we expected (faster traffic than expected). Definitely worth it to book an interior/creekside spot.

The campground is fantastic but they need to better yellow jacket management. There were way more bees this years and a couple of nests I had to take care of myself. This should really be managed better by the park.

This is a nice campground with good campsites. There are places that are great for wading in the creek, and the kids had a ton of fun biking around the area. There was a resident bear, but no critter boxes, so all of our food and toiletries had to be packed in the car each night, which was a big hassle. Bathrooms lack soap and a soap dispenser.

Pros: Campground bathroom was clean, host was friendly, location close to Lake Wenatchee beach and playground was fabulous for our kids. Cons: I do not recommend this specific campsite (number 55). Very little shade between 10-5:30pm, brutally hot. Really terrible mosquitoes and yellow jackets. Chipmunks were digging holes and leaving piles of dirt and holes all over every time we left the campsite. The only pro to the campsite was the creek access.

Site was better than I thought. Cell service was good and the spot was close to bathrooms, trash bin and water. Great evening views of the river to relax by. One of the best spots in my opinion. Would love to go there again.

Easy to find, close to water and the bathrooms. The campsite and campground was clean and easy to get around. 25 minutes from Leavenworth and 5 minutes from a restaurant. Would stay here again.

Awesome campsites, quiet with lots of shade and creek background sounds. Bummed no fishing in creek (8 years running). Nice walking areas and trails nearby.

We had a great time, its not overly private as youre right on the turn off and open to campground road. But you get a private beach and access to Nason creek from your site and the site is large.

Nason Creek is a great camping site. The sites are mostly level, the access to the river is easy and the camp is well managed. The natural beauty is outstanding. The best spots are those furthest from the highway.

Good camp ground to stay in. The sites were clean, as were the bathrooms as well. The site we had (21) was very open and spacious. Most of it was groomed sand though. It was also close to the main road. Just a heads up if you are booking this site. It was close to beautiful Lake Wenatchee. So much to do there!

Great campsite, very clean restroom. CRAZY amount of bugs and mosquitoes. Take a lot of bug spray/creams. The creek is right there and has fresh cold water!

There is no good access to the river from the sites. There are no showers but at least the toilets flush. It was fine but I’ll go elsewhere next time.

Nason Creek Campground, located near Leavenworth in WA. Overall, not bad. However, definitely not our favorite. We used it as base camp to go on hikes. Nicely located for this purpose and close enough to town where we could quickly stop for food. There are also a couple of restaurants near by and it’s pleasantly located by Lake Wenatchee. Water and bathrooms present. Sites are decent. However, very close to the road and noisy. There were semi trucks driving by, construction equipment going toward the lake, and many other vehicles. Even early in the morning or late. Making it less than the usual relaxing camping experience. The sites have a fine powder top soil that gets all over everything. We had not encountered this previously at other sites. The powder is very annoying. Lastly, which isn’t anyone’s fault in particular, we had the worst camping neighbors that were up till 1-2 AM, making very Smokey fires, being pretty noisy. So ultimately an unhappy turnout for the camping site of our adventure. Will not be returning.

We like Nason Creek a lot! Beautiful area and the sites are pretty well maintained although a bit overgrown in some sites. Really wish they had hookups, but it did not detract from a great weekend. Staff is friendly and approachable, We will be back.
