The site was really nice and the campground was nice as well. We got there about 5:00 and didnt realize that there wasnt anyone to check us in. Every COE campground we have been to has had at least a tag on the post telling us that we had the correct site. Also, our RV GPS didnt recognize the address and took us about 10 miles out of the way. We had to stop to ask for directions. Its interesting because the lady we spoke with told us that we were the second couple to ask for directions that day. The campground is very nice and we would definitely stay again.

Eggerts Landing campground in Valley City, North Dakota (ND). Stayed in site 13. The campground advertised 30 amp electric for all sites but their system seems unable to handle the load with a full or near full campground (41 sites). Our surge protecter will turn off at 104 volts. The average volts was 109-111 Friday night through midday Sunday but our surge protector tripped miltiple times Friday and Saturday. Most campers left on Sunday and the electric service got a little better. Mentioned to campground host Friday noght after the first few times it tripped and he said that was normal.Most sites were private. Our specific site (13) required us to back in uphill. The side by the power sloped down five inches. We opted to hug the other side to make it level. Still had enough room but unable to put awning out due to tree.Upon our arrival Friday found several of the garbage sites to be full and they did not get emptied before our departure on Monday. The host and another camper mentioned the lake had blue green algae and we should not be swimming yet there was no signage indicating this anywhere. Water and dump station before campground entry. Good size playground, swimming area and walking trails in campground. Boat launch and fish cleaning station near dump station. Restaurant within walking distance. Bathroom and shower area clean. Vault toilets in campground as well. Most sites very private with lots of trees and greenery separating them. Some sites had paths leading to the lake and others to the trails. Starlink did not work well for us here. Park Ranger drove through campground regularly every day we were there.Seems to be a favorite destination with locals. Host appears to only come in for the weekend. We would not return due to issues with electricity.

The campground is very clean and well maintained. The campground hosts were meticulous about the cleanliness of the campground, but not bothersome. Very nice people. Flush toilets and showers were very clean and maintained. We stayed in site 21, beware of a hanging dead limb in a tree and park to the opposite side of the site if you're worried about it falling. Site 21 does not have a view of the lake but does have a 30' path to the edge of the lake where we sat 2 chairs and watched a beautiful sunset. The sites on the loop are well separated. If you're in the mood for a little outing, try the Hungry Pelican, a few miles away. The owner makes a killer bloody mary. There is also a nice little beach that the kids there seemed to enjoy and there were plenty of kids riding bike, but our site sat far enough back in that it wasn't bothersome. Good experience and we will return if in the area again.

The bathrooms were kept very clean, the campsite was private and the campground quiet except for 2 small dogs barking all day in another site and a group of people tenting in the tent site playing loud music and attempting to sing karaoke. But the campground was quiet during the quiet hours. No one could swim in the swimming area due to blue/green algae. Will definitely choose to stay at Eggerts again in the future!

We were at site #21. Very large site. Lots of shade. Most sites are little alcove of forest which makes them private. One shower house up front & pit toilets throughout. Kind of a rustic campground but quiet. Our site had little trail that led to lake but no reall access as it dropped off.

We have camped at Eggerts Landing numerous times. The resent weekend we were there it was very hot. A lot if RV's were using their AC's which was to much for the 30 Amp service at each site causing low voltage. Our EMS keep shutting down our AC because of the low voltage so we went home 3 days early.

Great site. There is a path from the back of the site to the water. Quiet. Nice BR/showers. Would stay again.

Clean and quiet. Our campsite was a short walk down a little trail away from the lake. Highly recommend!

Camp host is great and does a lot for the facility. Cell service was actually good with Verizon, att-nothing. Only complaint is trees do not get trimmed at any of these campgrounds.

So very peaceful! Lot size was perfect only had to mess around with trying to get the camper level

Great spot- private, peaceful. All shared areas were clean and well kept. Definitely a lake more for fishing than other recreation.
@DebraH5241180 · Camped on Jul 10, 2023 at Campsite #11
One of our favorite campgrounds. Restrooms cleaned daily. We didn’t see much of the host. He wasn’t in the park that much, but was very pleasant when he was. Quiet campground, swim beach, playground for kids, fishing. Very secluded sites. Love this campground! We saw the Park Ranger multiples times a day drive through. Felt safe.

Nice SP for the money. Private nice sized sites in the back section. Nice playground. Beach was ok. AT&T cell no service in campground. One bar outside.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
