Beautiful, large, private campsites in a serene setting. Facilities were clean and well taken care of. Site #10 was wonderful and we will book it again if we visit Elk River again.

Always a great spot to camp. Well tended restrooms and cleaned up sites. The host, Larry, was helpful and pleasant. I often wonder why the forest service doesn't rent out an unoccupied host site to add revenue.

The camp hosts were very nice. Larry and his wife came through daily to make sure the bathroom was clean and stocked. Larry came by and introduced himself to our father and us (can't not remember his wife's name) and they were very friendly. We knew the previous host Larry for years since we all come together each year for our family reunion. Thank you for keeping everything so clean. We appreciate you.

Enjoyed our stay. Very quiet. Would definitely stay there again

Very nice small campground! So much shade on each site. Bathrooms very clean. You need to fill up with water before arriving! We had electricity, so that was great.

The cleanest dump toilets I have ever seen! The campground was well-maintained, quiet, and easy to find. We saw a moose and a couple of vultures on the way in!

Elk creek campground is a nice place to stay. There is electric hookups but no water except pumps. It is close to town and the best Huckleberry ice cream around. There are lots of trails to ride with a side by side or 4 wheeler for now. Till Potlatch shuts down their roads to motorized vehicles which really keep people from camping there.

We liked that our campsite was tucked into the trees and pretty private. The bathrooms were very clean.

We had a great time at Ek RIVER CAMP GROUND. the hosts were super friendly and all the otheer campers were too. It is nice to have Huckleberry Heaven ice cream is close by! We went for a walk several times a day. Also drove to Grand dad bridge, lots of things to see and do.

This is a beautiful spot. The camps are not squished together, they allow privacy and the give feeling you are in the middle of the forest. Its close enough to the reservoir for daily water play, and far enough away to have a quite campfire evening.

We camped with our 36 ft. fifth wheel with dually tow vehicle. Plenty of space. Quiet beautiful forest. Excellent sites, large and private. Vault toilets were immaculate. Be prepared to level your RV front to back significantly. AT&T service was good with data coverage. Verizon had spotty reception for texts only. We'll be back.

When we showed up on Friday, the two rangers said we weren't allowed to stay there. No signs, nothing on the website, nothing posted anywhere. The gals said they were locking the gate and the campground was going to be closed for the remainder of the year. we were not prepared to move. My brother was having his birthday there that weekend with family and we were forced to stay in the "overflow" parking. The accommodations were okay, with power hookups, but we wanted a little privacy in which we got none. Thank goodness for getting up there friday because that parking filled up quick saturday morning. The gals were pleasant, but some signs or something on the reservation web site would go a long way.

Because of fire danger, most of the surrounding area was shut down. The Forest Service and local lumber lands were all closed off. And, the recreational water areas were even closed. So… there wasn’t much to do. I’m thinking that the next few issues were also directly related to the fire danger closures: 1) there was no camp host - it appears that they were sent home?, 2) after being there for just one day, they shut off the water to the campgrounds!!??, 3) there were NO garbage cans made available at all. Kinda disappointing!!

Large spots. Pretty quiet area. Half reservable and half first come. My electric worked fine. Water and bathrooms available. No host on-site imagine due to lack of staffing with COVID-19 pandemic. Ranger came through a couple times

Area was neat and tidy. Fire pits and picnic tables were in good shape. Pit toilets could have been kept up a little better but there was no camp host.

The electric at my site was not working. My vacation was built around travels on my electric bike, so I was unable to charge batteries. Be aware there is NO cell service at the campground or anywhere within 25 miles or so. On the other hand it is a beautiful campground as was my campsite. The water from the spigots was cold and the best I have ever tasted.

The water is not on. No camp host and someone was camped in our spot and vehicles were exceeding posted speed raising lots of dust.

Great camp spots, quiet and well maintained! At this time, there is no fresh water, so hope that will be resolved soon. Fantastic trails for atv’s and side by sides.

Small quiet campground with electric hookups. Don’t miss the Huckleberry soft ice cream in Elk River, or the short hike to Elk River Falls.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
