30 amp breaker was broken and was not operable. The 20 amp breaker kept tripping when using electrical devices. This was discovered late afternoon Friday so nothing could be done over the weekend to fix the issue.

We enjoyed our visit here. The check in process was quick and easy. The sites were clean and mostly flat ( easy to level our Camper Van). I was not impressed with the showers. Communal dressing / undressing area is not my favorite and I would prefer more privacy especially since the shower area was open to the toilet are and the door ( the fabric curtain did help but it was flimsy at best). The campground itself was well maintained and quiet after hours. We enjoyed the lake access via boat.

When we arrived on our reserved date, there was another camper in our spot. Even though our name was on the sign post they refused to leave. The camp host put us in another site for the night and we didn't set up or unload until the next day. Very frustrated when I had made the reservation 6 months in advance, had my confirmation and was ready to relax. Although someone refunded the first night for us, what I really wanted was to be able to begin our vacation.

This was a great place for our group camp in mid-May. Even the bugs weren't bad with only a few biting no see ums, gnats or whatever, but not enough to need repellant. The reservoir was full enough that we were able to park boats at this camp after launching them from the Dent Acres ramp a little over a mile downstream. Be prepared for changing water levels if you park your boat at the group camp. In May the water level was rising (8-12 inches/day) so our ropes were very slack in the morning. I suppose later in the summer, one should be careful not to get beached as the water level drops. Using stakes in the bank worked very well to anchor the boats overnight. For a large group, sharing the only one-hole unisex bathroom near the covered area will cause a line (or an embarrassing interruption), but there is another dual-sex/double hole (4 holes total) facility that's walkable just up the hill (you'll never make it if it's a Taco Bell type emergency). The only thing this site is missing is running potable water, but you can get refills and even a shower with a 15-minute drive or 2-mile hike to the Dent acres campsite. The gate lock can cause issues. You'll have the key, but you're best just to keep the lock with you if you're going to have multiple people coming and going as some hilarious pranksters (irritated locals?) enjoy locking the gate behind you. I found this out after I pulled the boat out at the ramp and turned the key in. Then I had to turn around and drag the boat all the way back to the hosts who provided zero help with an extra key or allowing us to check out by leaving the key at the group camp. So, we returned once again to the gate, unlocked it, finished packing out of the group camp and then took the key all the way back again. That was the only irritating and wasted 2 hours out of the 6 days we were there. The camp hosts were otherwise very helpful, accommodating and good people. All-in-all, I'll definitely try camping here again.

A very peaceful campground. We were blessed with beautiful weather, everything was green making it a wonderful week. The road in is definitely steep and curvy. We did not have any trouble.

We paid for a week's reservation, a couple of days before going to Dent Acres. At the time there were only two spots not reserved - one was too small for our camper, so we took the only option available. Upon arrival, after a 2 hour drive, we found out there was no water available in our campsite, the whole loop was dry. The water had been out for OVER A WEEK, yet the Recreation.gov website did not reflect this, nor stop us from making the reservation. The campground has a "Volunteer Loop" for visiting volunteers consisting of nine spaces, all of which had water. The camp hosts would not let us use any of the seven empty spaces even though no vols were expected. They also told us to temporarily use a different spot even if we had to move DAILY whenever people with reservations for that spot showed up. Pretty ridiculous to completely unpack & pack up a campsite and move daily!! We were there to fish, not constantly relocate. The men working on the water problem were great and contacted the park ranger for us and she gave us permission to use an alternate volunteer spot that was not in the Vol Loop - yes, there were 2 more vol spots. If all of that wasn't bad enough, the camp hosts were actually mad at us for "going over their heads". They should've forgotten their egos, put themselves in our shoes and tried to help us in the first place!

Spent most of our time bass fishing. Dont plan on a 30 fish day, it is quality not quantity.

The place is now 50 years old and showing the wear. Not as pristine as when I helped bring electric power in, in 1973. It still is very comfortable. The lake was drawn down so far it was hard to launch my boat. We were extremely surprised to find so many campers there.

We try to stay at Dent Acres every October for some fishing. I'd like to start by saying that the camp hosts were FABULOUS!! They were super friendly and helpful. However, every year we go, there is one reason or another that the dock is not in the water, even though it is supposed to be. They seem to always have a lame excuse as to why it's not out. If you have an elderly person, short person, or anyone having difficulty getting into a boat, I highly advise to NOT use this campground in the fall.

This was a great campground, very quiet at night, the stars were great to look at and for photography. The campground hosts were great and very informative about the area.

The campground is very clean, quiet, and we enjoyed our visit very much. The campground hosts are doing a very good job of keeping it clean and were regularly cruising through to ask if we needed anything and giving advice on the area, etc. Kudos to the camp hosts.

Nice place, wish they had some kind of map for riding quads and side-by-sides for the local area.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
