I drove our camper across the country and picked up my wife at the airport for a 10 day vacation around the deserts. Red Rock Canyon campground was perfect for our first and last nights, as it gave me easy access to the airport. It was very quiet. Nights were clear but the light pollution from Las Vegas did a number on the stars.At the RV sites there was zero cell coverage, but a 2 minute walk up the hill got me good signal to check on flights.

I've stayed in this campground several times from late October through early December and have finally decided to never stay here again. It is a really tough place to exist when tent camping. The wind is relentless, people run generators from 6 AM to 10 PM, and there is no privacy of any sort. All the tent sites are clustered together in a depression in the desert, completely exposed to the elements. The only thing this place has going for it is its proximity to Red Rock Canyon. Maybe my opinion would be different if I owned a $100K van.

Restrooms were always clean and properly stocked. Campground very close to other hiking locations and town for supplies.

Someone is occupying the camp space and no management staff can be found to deal with the matter. Very bad place. Application for refund was also rejected. I spent money but couldn't check in on time.

Arrived after dark. Signage for walk in part of the campground was poor. Had trouble locating the campsites (and my campsite), and even more figuring out where to park for them. The camp sites in the walk-in portion are minuscule. Neighbors in tents were only a few feet apart. Far too close for comfort or any kind of privacy. In the center of the tiny area was a tent with a person who snored very loudly the entire night. I am partially deaf but still had difficulty falling asleep due to the noise. The scene was absurd. Look at the google image of the campground. It makes no sense to pack the walk ins in like sardines - compare them to the RV sites. Astonishing. Please revamp this campground ASAP. Its an abomination as it is. Treats tent campers as third rate people. Come on BLM. You can do so much better than this.

comfortable campsites, especially those with shelters. Improved campground since spring of 24. Vault toilets ok but hand sanitizer containers empty. Views are stunning. Generally quiet and respectful campers. Looking forward to being here again.

Prachtig gelegen camping in de nabijheid van Las Vegas. Heel vriendelijk personeel, ruime plaatsen. Geen gebruik gemaakt van het sanitair.

Red Rock Campground isn't exactly the best campground as far amenities go however it's central to a variety of activities. Be prepared for the elements as the temps can vary greatly from sweltering heat to frigid nights depending on time of year.

we had a grew time, camp site was clean and ready for us to use. Restroom was good!

We camped in one of the group sites. It was immaculate when we arrived although, it was early season. Bathroom was clean and water pressure at the spigot was great. The shade structure did a great job making the 100 degree temps bearable. The campground hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. Treeless desert camping is tough but Red Rock Canyon Campground is a great spot. Location is perfect between Summerlin and all of its amenities and Red Rock Canyon.

The campsite was very clean. The vault toilets were clean, well stocked with TP! We enjoyed the scenic loop during our stay...the visitors center was very nice and the staff was extremely kind.

Great camping experience. Our site had a tent pad big enough for our two tents, a pavilion with a picnic table, fire pit and grill. The pit toilets were close by and clean, and there were potable water taps throughout the campground. We had a critter chew into our cooler during the day while we were off climbing so dont leave anything food related at your campsite unattended. We left our tents and camping gear at the site while we were away without any issue. We did see a tarantulas at night but it was easy to spot and avoid. 10 out of 10. Would recommend!

The campgrounds were extremely clean! Campers around us were very friendly! The host Laura and her husband were what made the experience at 10 out of 10 though! They were so helpful from the time that we were looking into what site to choose all the way to the end of our stay! We are Las Vegas locals and absolutely will be visiting them again!

The group site we stayed at was wonderful! We had such a great time. The bathrooms were clean, hosts present and attentive throughout our stay, and the location is just top notch. We just loved it. Can't wait to return!

This campground was beautiful and felt really safe to me as a solo woman camper. Camp host Laura was really kind! One bar strong enough for sending messages at the campsite, full service for a phone call just one minute up the service road.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
