We stayed in spot 27 overnight. Good site and eat to back into with our 32 fifth wheel. Site had 30A power but water was across the road. About 100 of hose was needed to supply water. Otherwise its a great place. Low traffic and quiet. Has a trail called the Tall Pines trail and its close to a two mile trek in the woods of Davy Crocket National Forrest. Would visit again!

Stayed here for one night, mid-week, terrible weather. Camp host was great, called me and explained current conditions. Nice campground, lots of space between camping spots. Bath house was very clean, four individual rooms each with own shower, sink, and toilet. Short walk to lake, which I didn't visit.Would definitely recommend.

Because of the recent torrential rains, we nearly had the RV potion to ourselves. The camp hosts bent over backwards to insure that our stay was pleasant!!!

The area is just beautiful and serene. All the facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff was available to answer questions. We had a small reunion and everyone wants to go back in the fall :) Thank you for a nice place.

Lovely location but the slick, moss covered timbers left me with a fractured arm!

Our RATCLIFF stay was great. The scenery was beautiful. Our stay was late March and the weather was amazing. The lake is good to fish in but the water didnt not seem very adequate to swim in (we did not allow our children to get in the water). Overall the fishing and hikes were great! We would definitely go back.

Quiet campground. Lots of space between sites for ample privacy. Bath house was exceptionally clean and private rooms. Nice lake with a very large and well kept up recreation area

Spent 3 nights Sun - Weds in late March in the Dogwood Loop with electric and water hookups. Although the campground is old and could use some road work and campsite repairs, the sites are spacious and level and afford nice privacy in nature. Bath house is clean and showers were excellent. The lake is perfect size for kayaking and gets decent fishing action. Perfect weather and no crowds; I couldn't have asked for anything more. This was a focal stop on my monthlong spring RV trip and I will be making it part of my future trips. And for full disclosure my last name is Ratcliffe, I'll excuse the misspelling.

Beautiful lake, top notch facilities (including clean restrooms), and a chance to catch the famous Texas Snipe give Lake Ratcliff and A+. Camp Hosts Bobby and Amy are the icing on the cake. They were our hosts in the Sawmill Loop, including the Pavilion. They were attentive to our needs, including regularly checking on us. They truly want you to have a great time.

Quiet, clean restroom/showers, good spacing of sites. Sites could stand renewal of parking surfaces- old pavement broken up by tree roots pretty bed. Site was still better than some others we have stayed at before. Overall very workable.

This is a very nice place to stay with beautiful surroundings. The bathroom facilities were clean but cold as it was in January when we stayed here. There was hot water in the shower but no heat in the room. Sites are spaced generously and I do not think it would feel crowded even if the campground was full. We enjoyed it.

Site 38 unlevel side to side & front to back. Shower/restroom well cared for. Steady electric & water systems. Stayed after a business conference in E. TX & will probably stay again if necessity occurs. TX7 traffic niloide until just after sunset.

We had a beautiful campsite and enjoyed the quiet, the scenery, and the trails. We had water and electricity at our site. We did use the bathrooms and showers and they were clean and worked fine, though the shower was barely warm.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
