It was an old campground. Bathrooms were in very poor shape and dirty. My husband (ex-Marine) wouldn't even shower in them. Glad it was just an overnight stop. Don't think we would go back again.

Lovely setting and very clean campsites. The proximity of the campground to the Natchez Trace was perfect! The camp host was polite and friendly. When visiting this area in the future, we will stay here again.

The freshwater valve for site 15 leaks... a lot.

This is campground is a jewel! My campsite as well as others are tree shaded. The grounds are manicured and clean. Most sites accommodate tent campers, as I was. The restrooms were clean with hand soap and paper towels and no bright streetlights. Campers were all respectful of each other, ie few gaudy lights. The lake was beautiful.

Beautiful campground on a beautiful lake. Very reasonable price and dump station easy to use. friendly staff.not large sites and not necessarily level but we did get a couple sites we could fit on. We had a 33' travel trailer and our friends had a 37' 5th wheel.improvement- possibly booking sites...you book online which ahead of time worked well but when we got there, there was confusion. they have first come first serve sites but some people were on sites that were booked. also, a tent took a site that was large enough for a bigger trailer. there is staff on site so i think it would make their job easier if the booking went through them.

There are 2 camp host on site . Neither one will enforce the rules. One spot ran a car wash out of it and kept the road partially blocked and others were playing load music. There are campers staying longer than the 14 day period others are holding spots till friends or relatives arrive . Some are not staying out the required time before coming back in after staying there 14 days.

Sweet sweet campground. Sites well spaced, nice walking around campground, clean restrooms. Note: our site #13 not flat, required blocks in front (only 25 ft rig) and water hose too short for where the outlet was.

Conveniently located between the Natchez Trace Parkway and HWY-15. Stayed at site 17 for four nights. Slab is nice and flat for the most part but does have a slight downward angle from front to back. My 33 foot tow behind fit just fine and the power and water provided is adequate.However, I dont recommend site 17 if you have a full size truck and a tow behind larger than 24 feet, unless you plan on hustling to set up and unhook. I have a crew cab, standard bed Ram that was nearly blocking the whole road until I was able to unhook. Fairly level left to right but a good 3/4 plank under the passenger side tires will level you out perfectly.Not much for kids to do but there is a nice swimming area for the warmer months. Nice and quiet for the most part too!

Site #16. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for a few days and fish. I could pull my canoe up on shore right behind the trailer at the end of the day. There are a few locals that stay there quite a bit but everyone was very nice and courteous. I will definitely stay here again.

Nice quiet park, with a serene lake. The road going into the area was a little bumpy.

Smaller campground, very well kept, all sites are in sight of lake. Hostess is top notch.Any spot is my favorite.

Loved the area, site near water edge. Lots of wildlife and birds. We only had 2 other campers in park, so peaceful. Dump station closed but opened on day of departure. Would love to return in spring.

Davis lake is our most favorite place to take our family of 6. We love the location and the atmosphere. We also love the campground host! Becky is always amazing and so accommodating. Only way Davis lake could be better is if it were full hookup! But it sure isn’t gonna keep us from coming ! We looooove Davis lake.

Our overall experience at Davis Lake Campground was good. The view from our site (#17) was great. Our campsite overlooked the greater part of the fishing part of the lake. All of the FF sites were taken, and they actually have better views of the lake, of course. The campground is quiet. Access to the campground from the Natchez Trace is convenient. The camp hosts are friendly and did check the bath houses at least twice per day. The restrooms were clean and supplies were maintained. Our negatives of the campground include bath houses, lighting, and general upkeep of the campsites. The bath houses are very dated and need much renovation. The showers haven’t changed much in the past 20-30 years. The overall campground area is very dark at night. A simple light on the pedestal could provide a more secure feeling at night. The campsites needed mowing and weeded. Thankfully, yet sadly, mowing did take place on our last morning there.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
