Whitten Park Campground in Itawamba county is located 31 min east of Tupelo, MS with an elevation of 309 feet. There are a total of 62 campsites. The campground is open all year. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 29 and 98 feet. All sites are currently reservable. All sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $28.00 to $30.00.

Facilities were not in working order. All toilets were clogged. Garbage overflowing. Hosts let encroaching party of 20 on next site over to swim without a reservation. Park rangers were overbearing and harassing ( 20x a day drive bys) because I reported the encroaching non payer parties they let in the gate. It is not a secure place. It is not a clean facility.

Beautiful park and friendly staff. Lots of vegetation around the campsites, however, and we were there at the height of the mosquito season. Literally kept us and our dog inside most of the time. Would love to go back when the mosquitoes are not so aggressive.

Easy in and out, very clean park, friendly hosts, lots of good shade and it was welcome in August 2024. This was not our first time and will not be our last time to stay at Whitten Park.

Great little campground! We were really happy with the size and layout of our site. Our site had lots of trees and was a really level campsite, with a great living area. I think this campground has a lot of potential but does need a little work. With that being said, I do know renovations are scheduled starting next month. We are excited to come back and see what all has been improved. Hopefully all of the wood structures are updated or replaced, we would like to see more areas accessible to the lake. From our campsite, we could see the lake but wasn't easily accessible. The paved pathways need the overgrowth cut back and maybe even some re-paving in some areas. The bath houses need the most updating. The stalls are a little small, and the shower's need some updating. But overall, a great place!! Highly recommend! During the renovations, I would recommend Piney Grove Recreation Area just North of here.

Great camping spots. Friendly hosts. My GPS lead me on a very unique route, scenic with lots of curves, stops and hills. Better would be an approach vis interstate. Ill remember.

It was a great place to stop in for the night. Easy to get into and get out in the morning. The only thing that I would complain about was that the mower started at daybreak. Maybe this should be done a little later in the day after everyone has had time to enjoy the birds. But it got me on the road early! I'm sure I will go back there again.

We had serious trouble getting there as GPS kept giving has bad directions. We should have had a good County map. Super hosts in Kelly and Dale who came to rescue us and help with a flat tire. Good Samaritans in true since of phrase. Beautiful park, well maintained. Staff showed a lot of pride in their duties. 5 stars once we made it there.

We stayed at site 22. Really liked this park a lot we would return. The staff were very helpful as we arrived and the site was clean had electricity and water. Nice hiking trails one paved, check for ticks after you return.

Have stayed here a few times. Its a nice, quiet campground. Easy access to the Tenn-Tom waterway. Close to restaurants, gas, grocery stores, etc. Cell phone service is good. Several over air tv stations. The only drawback is its not full hookups. Only 2 sites have sewer access, and one of them the park host is using.

Great place to stay with low cost. The only issue with staying here is no sewage at the campsite but they do have a dump station. Camp host are super nice. We have stayed here twice now and Im sure we will be back

Very well maintained park. The sites easy to back into and have nice shade trees. There is plenty of space between sites so you never feel crowded in. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Very clean and well kept. Sites were close but with so many trees it didn't feel claustrophobic. We would stay here again without hesitation.
