A must stay for your next trip to Olallie lake! Such a beautiful well built old cabin. It has all the amenities and lots of chipmunks running around the resort! The hosts of the resort were friendly, Helpful, and had amazing knowledge of the area, especially for areas to explore. Sadly most of the area was burned from the 2020 lionshed fire and lots of the area was destroyed. We still had the best time making memories, went to do some fishing, swimming, kayaking/paddle boarding, and lots of off roading. You definitely will need a high clearance vehicle with 4x4 if you want to go exploring on off roads. There is no cell service or electricity. We used walkie talkies to communicate with each other while exploring. There is still lots to do and see around the area. Hiking is also a must do while there, as the resort has the pct trail running right through it. Also the general store is a cash or check only store. The guard station was amazing and right across from the swimming hole and the exit/entrance to the pct trail. No fires were allowed while we were there for obvious reasons. We had the luxury to meet lots of wonderful hikers coming and going sharing their experiences of life on the trail. Go check out this little slice of heaven! Until next year!

Great, comfortable space. A working fridge/freezer and hot, running water in the wilderness are amazing perks!Saw a few mice inside, so keep your food stored properly. The propane lights are a little dim for reading, so you may want to supplement with your own lantern. We hiked the trail around Monon Lake and the trail up Olallie Butte, and also did some boating. Paddleboarding is best in evening when water is calmest.

Surprisingly posh accomodations in the middle of nowhere. The cabin has one double bed upstairs in the loft, one bunk bed, and two futons. It has working lights (propane), a working stove (propane), and even a working fridge and freezer (propane). The staff at Olallie Lake Resort were very helpful and got us into the cabin without any problems. I highly recommend the Guard Station to anyone wishing to visit Olallie Lake. There was a big fire recently, but the resort and Guard Station were miraculously saved!

The cabin was in great condition when we got there. The amenities were as expected, not too rough. The propane system worked very well and amazed to find hot water that worked. We experienced good weather to fowl and it was a great home away from home. Can't wait to do it again. C.P. Grorud.

Most relaxing time. Reserved cabin last two years. entire family shows up and enjoy the outdoors. Weather can be a bit of a challenge, bugs even more, but that's part of the fun

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
