Everything was fine. One thing we noticed was most of the campsites were reserved, however no one was there, even on the second day of their reservation. I had thought the if the party that booked it didn't show up by the second day it could be released. The camp host said the they had no way to do that, that if I looked at the camp rules I wouldn't see that.I find it reprehensible that with the shortage of campsites in our area that these could not be freed up. People are gaming the system at the expense of the public. I know the government doesn't care - people have paid the money already, so you have yours. I think it is eminently reasonable that if a party will not get to their site by check in on day two or just don't show at all that the site should be put to use by people that WILL show up.

A very quaint campground with such a beautiful creek alongside it. Campsites were private and quiet! Can't wait to visit again

This is a wonderfull campground. Good seperation between campsites. Mature forest. Check out where Clear Creek merges with the Sauk. Camp Host was very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful and restorative place - despite the rain we had a magical time in this wooded wonderland that borders the Sauk River just downstream where the Clear Creek meets the Sauk River. The canopy kept us dry and provided a quiet escape from busy life. The creek and river were great escapes for fly fishing. The camp host was gracious and helpful. Each campground is unique and private. We camped here when we were kids many years ago. We returned to remember for a family reunion of siblings. We are already planning to return next year. Why did we wait so long?!?!

This was a pleasant little campground. The sites were well maintained and the pit toilets were clean. The campground is right by the road, so some road noise but its also right by the river, which was lovely

It was actually great, beautiful little spot with the sound of the river.

Nice, small campground. Other parties were quiet and respectful. Easy access to North Cascades NP and near a couple of small towns if need to resupply. Latrines were kept clean. Some mosquitoes in early July.

I recently stayed at Clear Creek and had a great experience. The host was friendly and helpful, making sure everything ran smoothly. The bathrooms were impressively clean, which was a big plus. The area is beautiful, offering plenty of natural scenery to enjoy. While some campsites are on the smaller side and lack privacy, the overall atmosphere and cleanliness of the campground made it a pleasant stay. Plus, River Time Brewery is nearby for great beer, adding an extra perk to the visit. It's a great place to relax and enjoy nature.

Nice quiet campground. Didnt meet the host, sign said they were off duty most of the time were were there. We did a couple hikes that were close by, that was nice. Had enough cell service to send text messages (Verizon) but not enough to connect to Internet. Overall nice campground. We had a great time.

I stayed at one of the sites closest to the highway, but we could still hear the river which was nice and our neighbors were friendly and respectful. The only negative aspect to my multiple-night camping trip was the vault toilet. I've experienced many vault toilets in my years of camping, and truly don't get bothered by this sort of thing. However, the toilet closest to my site was nearing on unbearable. It smelled like it hadn't been emptied in a very long time and the amount of flies in there made it worse. The one closest to the entrance was not as bad but still pretty disgusting.Despite the toilet situation, I would camp here again but would buy/bring a personal portable toilet.

Overall the grounds were decently maintained. I still had to clean up some litter. Biggest disappointment was that only a couple camps had any view of, and access to the river.

This is a lovely little campground within 3 miles of Darrington, which includes a decent grocery store, several car places (which was good because we had car trouble), and a great coffee shop...Moe's. Despite being called Clear Creek, the river along the campground is actually the Sauk River. However, at the end of the campground is the mouth of Clear Creek...a lovely spot for soaking in (especially when it's hot). Good hiking nearby, lovely scenery.

Very clean and quiet. My kids loved exploring by the river. We hiked to Frof Lake which was fun and full of frogs as well. We'd love to come back again.

We made reservations for a specific campsite at the Clear Creek Campgound, but when we got there someone else had paid and was occupying the site. It had not been marked as reserved for us, so these folks in the site were doing nothing wrong. Luckily a different site was available, but we had to pay for this other site.

Very quiet. Pleasant. Very Private. Great views of the river within short walk. Stayed mid week.

•We got site 7. It was close to the road, but one of the best sites there for privacy. •Didn't meet host, but site was obviously marked and they had firewood for sale. •Vault toilets were clean. •Nearby hikes galore. •We could smell the toilets occasionally, but not consistently. •Road noise did wake us up a couple times. Overall, we'd book it again if we head that way. The river was beautiful.

Clear Creek is a small campground and the sites are pretty close together unless you're at the end of the line, sites 12 and 13 nearest to the river. The confluence of the Sauk River and Clear Creek is a lovely setting; don't be shy to take a dip at the sandy spot right by the bridge. For the intrepid, the 2-mile hike to Frog Lake is a lot of fun. The trail is visible but not kept up. The highway's very close to the campsite but there's not a whole lot of traffic on this stretch of the Mountain Loop Highway. No potable water at the campsite but that's made clear in the description.

Wonderful campground that is well kept. Took a nice hike to Frog Lake. It took a few minutes to find the path though because it’s kind of hidden across the street from the campground.

We made a reservation for clear lake however, we ended up at the clear lake in Linn County, who would have thought there would be two lakes in Oregon called clear lake. When we showed up at the wrong campground the camp host completely understood and was happy to accommodate us and we loved our stay at the OTHER CLEAR LAKE.

It’s a great campground, it’s quiet and clean and peaceful! There’s no running water but there’s a store a few minutes down the road so that’s not a problem. The river is stunning! Best part of the campground.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
