We had #18 which seems to be the bigger campsite out of the first loop, two familys could definitely share that spot! Everything was great! Bathrooms didnt lock and train tracks are right there so you can hear it and the honks at the tunnel. We didnt mind but I know some people will. Overall was a great campground!

We love Money Creek! This is our third season camping here. The river is beautiful and camp sites are large and well maintained. Camp host seemed very nice and helpful. Bathrooms were not very clean this time around which was a bit disappointing but we still had a lovely trip. Most people complain about the train but you get used to it.

GREAT SPOT TO CAMP
@LizS2369221 · Camped on Jun 28, 2024 at Campsite #14
The lower review is partially on us. There are train tracks 100 ft away from a number of campsites, #14 being exactly where the trains are required to honk for the road...and the trains only ran at night while we were there. Probably not great for littles, as it will disturb their sleep, but that is just a handful of sites. Bathrooms were not super clean, and the bugs were pretty persistent.

We had a great experience, four adults and four children in site number four. We were all very comfortable, enough space and very close to the sandy beach.Thank you!

Great campground. The river is amazing! Vault toilets are clean. Sometimes if you're too close to the vault toilet you'll get an unpleasant whiff, but they're few and far between. Don't let it ruin your trip!

Rustic tent camping site with latrine bathrooms. Dedicated tent setup area is very nice. Clean and quiet. Very nice campground.

Wife, dog and I had a great time. Spent the Saturday with our feet in the water at the public beach with very few people around. No access to river from the sites due to erosion, and in places it is a fast river, but then meandering at the beach. We has site 20 and had a view of the river.

Campsites were large, had plenty of privacy, and (mine) had river access. Near the highway but the noise was drowned out by the river. The only improvement would be better bathrooms and there were no showers. A dip in the river was as good as it was going to get. Also, be aware the campsite is adjacent to a railroad track. The sound of the train going by isn’t the worst, but when it sounds it’s horn, it’s loud! I didn’t hear one at night like I have heard at other campsites near railways, but I did hear one at 5:30 am. Good morning.

Best campground! Nice and clean! Hosts are very kind and friendly. Bathrooms are always clean. Great swimming area with sand for kids to play behind site 4. Raised tent areas and when we first arrived noticed the tent area was raked which was a great touch to make campers feel welcomed! By far the best campground we’ve been to! Can’t wait to go again next year but will for sure stay longer

We have camped here before and love it. It was our nephews first camping trip and it went extremally well!! The site, bathrooms, and park was clean. We even walked around to pick out a site for our next trip. Yes there trains, yes they blow the horn, yes I love this place and will continue to come here every change we get!!

Beautiful trees and surroundings. Nice tent platform . Way too much traffic noise. Campground right off Hey 2. The train was very LOUD and we were kept up most of the night with frequent times that it came by. It sounded like we were right next to the tracks. Many of the sites were. No real water access to river. Mosquitoes mosquitoes mosquitoes:((. All firewood that we had to buy at the campground was too wet to burn, therefore no campfire to cook on or keep mosquitoes away! Will not be coming back.

I would give it an excellent rating if it wasn't for the freight trains going through all night. One night it was 5 times, the next was 4. Some people can sleep through it. I cannot. Must have earplugs!!!

A very nice campground, especially those sites next to the rushing stream. Clean rest rooms with ample space between sites.

Great spot! It's nice to be able to pick your specific camp-site/location number. It was great to be right along the river, but the only downside is that it leaves more open space so the sound from the highway carries pretty easily. It depends on each person and if they can sleep through certain noises. There was some light roadway traffic noise - during the day you don't really notice it, or aren't even around , at night it's quieter, but you can hear the train go by 2-3 times a night (this was the last week of August, so the train schedule probably varies). Everything else was great. I wish there was a collective dumpster to throw away recycling, like there was for garbage. Even if not, a sign that would say NO RECYCLING would be convenient to know. Tent-site was great, close to the water for that great white-noise in teh background. Nice BIG picnic table. Fire pit/grill location was great. Everything was conveniently close, but not overlapping so you weren't breathing in smoke, or too much space between picnic table and firepit.

Site had lots of room, close to restroom and a drinking water spout. So shady! Close to the water which felt so nice. Plenty of hiking trails with in 20 minutes of the site. The down side was the mosquitoes! They were biting through our clothes, even with the bug spray. Overall we had a wonderful stay, and look forward to staying again.

Campground had a bit of a creepy vibe to it. So much so that my Husband wouldn't let me wander out of campsite alone... I would not camp there by myself for sure. Just not one of the best places I've ever stayed.

Lovely setting, well maintained facilities, and I love hearing the trains! It was the perfect get-away-from-the-city break for us. We will be back.
@MorganW7187545 · Camped on Jun 22, 2022 at Campsite #22
We loved this campground! Our site (#22) was right on the river and beautiful moss covered trees. Bathrooms were very clean and water available near each site. The river was so peaceful to listen to and it helped drown out the train and traffic noise.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
